Being limited to 4 points in your stats evens the playing field. No one massively overpowers another..its just interesting.
Xp payouts aren't huge, but it'd be nice to see those brawl pit missions fill up..15/15..yes

Just more RNG mercy than anything... kind of meh. Balanced... more like boredom, especially if you don't have consistent opponents to get out of that pit of despair.

Unless you put those 4 stats into one thing, then things get a little more tipped in your favour.

I'd say 11 would be the most balanced, as by then everyone has the core stats maxed, are probably all running the same armor and either a fusion cannon or magnus's hammer or something close to it. But 11s have to play with lower levels too, so they can be a bit rough on people.

It was either War Hammer or Whisper that said it best.

Two level 0's fighting is like watching two old ladies swinging their handbags at each other

But hey, if people want to stay at level 0 when they could jump a level or two, that's their decision.

Whatever happened to them, anyway? (War Hammer and Whisper, I mean.)

Combine that with the right alt and play a little something by Blue Oyster Cult, then just watch the cityformers cringe in horror... :P

You're right..but it takes a long time to get to that point. So saying 0 is the most balanced is wrong, I concede that.
But at that level it is purely an rng thing if everyone is running around maxed out blasting away with fusion cannons.

Lol 0 takes away the massive dmg outputs
And gives you a chance to coordinate stats with other player, creating a real team playability.
Its fine if its not for anyone else. I don't think its hurting anyone, except lvl 0 bots :twisted:

We're not saying he has to level up, just that there's so much more to the world. But, some people don't like to go outside. And there's nothing wrong with that. Please tell my therapist that...

:lol:

It wasn't for me, either. Even with how massively outnumbered I was when I first hit level 1, since a lot of people hadn't returned yet or were just starting to, I still preferred the chaos of level 1 over the grind of level 0.

However, everyone has a different playstyle that they find fun. If you like the gameplay at level 0, have fun doing your thing at level 0. After all, if everyone played this game the exact same way, it'd be pretty boring. ;)

My personal take on level 0 is that it was very, very slow. I focused on xp and making it to high levels quickly, though, so in that light level 0 was merely a hurdle. If you have different goals or like a slower pace, I can see where it would be a lot more appealing. To each their own :lol:

Except when it doesn't.

Underwater And Surface-To-Air Cannon 1 2 Light to devastating Short recharge €1,000

XS2 Ionised Null-Ray 2 0 Very heavy to devastating No recharge €100

Electric Cannon 3 0 Light to devastating No recharge €50,000

Rocket Launcher 4 0 Light to devastating Short recharge €20,000

And those aren't counting the 0/0 prototype/reward weapons. I'm sure someone can come and break down the math for the damage, but those are all able to hit hard, and all available to a level 0. There are a lot of ways to unbalance level 0.

All that said though, a max 0 and max 1 are worlds apart. At least in power builds.

I tried what e-mail address I had for War Hammer, but it obviously didn't work or he just chose to ignore it.

Whisper switched from being a bartender listening to peoples garbage to actually being a garbage collector. He also found a pair of boobs to play with that weren't his own.

I will however send him the link to this very post so he can see he's still remembered.

He as in a generic non-specific person. Not a specific. I think it sounds better than it.

I have several mechs who could technically still be level 0 since they only have 5-6 stat points. They don't even come close to the exp cap for a level 0. There is a difference between a low level 1 and high level 1 until you get into those hell missions with level 11. The Megatron Fusion Cannon slags any level 4 or below in one shot. I would guess there is a difference between a low end and high end of any level with the exception of 0 and 11. I've debated about dropping some of my level 1 back to 0 to recoup energon but at the same time as mention several times, I find it nice to be able to help out others in the wider missions like the 1-3 or the metal shield with hopeful luck in the 1-11 hell missions. My personal goal is to get back to the level 3-4 range which I had before the Great Reset.

Who could forget him? Damocles was almost as scary as Gore at times...

Actually, I think I even have some of the old sig and character images that Whisper did for my team, Overload and Athena's at least...

:-B
When comparing weapons it's always better to go by their median damage rather than their max.

(Note all weapons damages shown are assumed not confirmed, we're working on that)

UStAM = 13
Xs2 = 21
EleCan = 13
RL = 13

For comparison The regular Null Ray (best of the 0/0 weapons) has a median damage of 11

The only non-custom weapons truly out of line below 4 upgrades are the Lightsabers (16) & the aforementioned XS2 (21)
