Laser pistol overkill?

I never noticed before, but having just lost Firewall in three attacks, I spotted that he lost 38% from a laser pistol. I checked the weapons roster.

How come a laser rifle deals "light to heavy damage", a laser cannon deals "light to heavy damage", but a laser pistol does "very heavy to devastating"? Seems a bit backwards to me... :?

Yup sounds about right, good job the weapons are getting fixed for V2 :lol:

it's just fluff. there's alot worse issues with the weapons than what their called

do you really expect the mods to grade EVERY SINGLE weapon so that it's all nice and doesn't have the little issues. just off the current weapons situation the stat combinations make 100 weapons, 21 possible recharges for each of those weapons, thats a possible 2100 seperate weapons,it's not important that their names all follow a nice hierachy, we'll try, but it won't be perfect

in v2 we'll have special effects too, so that'll boost the numbers even more.

well you know how it says short recharge? that just means the recharge is greater 0, there are 20 different lengths of time that a short recharge weapon can have as it's recharge time, that plus the one length of time No Recharge weapons have, makes 21.

but it needs to be cut, anything with a recharge over a minute really isn't worth bothering with.

Or, we could just go ith forcing the same amount of energy out of a smaller barrrel. Hence, more kick.

Oh, I'm not knocking laser pistols. I've just shuffled Twitch's stats last night, so he could have enough Firepower to carry one, and aside from getting a thorough drubbing from the Sharkticons when I went to bed (I think mostly because we had too many newbies on the team - at high level 2, Twitch was the second most senior, with a level 7, 2 level 1s and two level 0s rounding it out. I don't think we stood much chance, to be honest), he seems quite happy with it. Most characters at his level can be taken out with two or three shots. The laser pistol rocks.

I was just questioning why it was so much more powerful than the equivalent rifle, and even cannon. The question's more or less been answered.
