Regarding Ram/Strafers...

This is something I've been pondering the last few days. Dual-Tactic alt modes. In most cases, the choice of weapon is a given based on feeder stats - guns for Strafe/Avoid and Strafe/Repair with their Firepower boosting Strafe; skill-based weapons for Avoid/Repair since Skill is often needed to unlock Repair anyway; no weapons and high strength for Ram/Repair and Ram/Avoiders...

But Ram/Strafers; Heavy Assault Vehicles, Spaceships, etc... Strength feeds Ram, Firepower feeds Strafe. So, really, what's the best way to decide whether or not to equip an R/S TF with a weapon or let them go hand-to-hand? Is it just a matter of preference? Is there some hidden factor in the game that matters? Or maybe its a matter of damage range?

Anyone want to weigh in on this?

My gut feeling is if you've got high FRP, I feel you might as well get a matching weapon.

The one I found for you couldn't be posted here without getting me banned, so instead I'll get one for all the hard working [citation needed] Admins instead.

Did it have "UNT" written on it beside the handle?

Because I was going to give you that one, then I remembered I'd have to ban myself. Not sure if that would work or if it would just create a paradox.

Also Skill is the universal feeder stat. You do everything better when you're more skillful. :MR-T:

...I blame the absolute absence of a 'luck' statistic for my team's continuous lackluster performance. Since none of them can put points into 'luck', they all default to 'bad' in that area. :P

back to the original question...10 strength kick/punch is roughly equivalent to a heavy-very heavy weapon damage range.

So, basically, if you're not at 10 STR. or you have the ability to equip a VH-D or better weapon, it's probably better to go with a weapon on TF with Strafe, even if it's a Ram/Strafer?

Lightsabers seem to be the best to use until you have 8 fp, then go for laser-blazer broadsword

Laser and Blaze, weren't they on the original 80's/90's American Gladiators?

No idea, our gladiators here in the UK were a bit... special.

The only important one is Jet, ^^ right there. It was worth watching the show for her alone.

That show was so brilliantly 90s.
