I was just wondering, is it possible to have multiple lvl 1s = the space of a lvl 3?

Its just an idea, one I would expect that would be hard to balance, I want to know if its possible.

say a mission is normally 4 vs 4 lvls 1-3

Joining the mission as a lvl you would normally weaken you team beacuse you are taking the space of a potential lvl 2 or 3.

I was wondering perhaps you could have 2 lvl 1s in place of a lvl 2 and still be somewhat balanced?

It would be cool, multiple smaller bots fighting a powerful con.

perhaps even 10 bots/cons vs a super powerful Unicron as a new NPC mission.

Massacre in Unicron's favour. Seriously, all of HMW vs Unicron, he's still gonna win. You forget they blew up a planet in his face and he laughed it off. The matrix? "The one thing, the only thing" that can hurt him.

Other than that, didn't Glyph test missions with different numbers and levels on either side before? Bunch of 3s versus a few 5s or something, I think.

It was the Matrix? I thought it was Stan Bush's music that was devastating :P

Seriusly, all canon G1 "All-10-in-stats" transformers, without the Matrix of Leadership, couldn't scratch Unicron.
Maybe in a 300-against-Unicron mission, we could have a chance (to scratch his painting).

It was jut a sudjestion of its use, plus the mission could say your team has the matrix of leadership with your team, or you get a NPC optimus/rodimus prime with a matrix ability.

anyway it would be cool to fight him.

Hmmm... However harder canon NPCs in missions... like "Capture Optimus Prime" or "Disarm Ratchet" for the highest levels... Those sound good...

i would rather see a NPC join in on missions that no-one or very few(10-20%) join in on the otherside, this way it would not be such a waist of time, and they get a chance to get some XP,like in a full mission.
and i myself wouldn't mind taking on a few canon TF's from time to time.

Now that's a great idea for the last mission before the reset; all Autobots and Decepticons face off against Unicron for one final battle. If we win we get V2 we lose we have to wait a month before we get to try again to usher in a new golden age of Cybertron.

Yep, and from what I recall, Glyph said the results didn't pan out for the idea.

I can still remember jumping into a mission w/o looking first, only to find out in the forum that it was a test mission of low-level Autobots versus high-level Decepticons. I think I said out loud, "SLAG!"

Bear in mind guys, the reason NPCs aren't already in the game is that they basically steal xp from the players. Like turrets and radiation damage did when they were used.

Quintessons dodge this issue because the factions are teamed up against them.

Ergo, any NPCs you see will probably have to be members of 3rd (or I suppose 5th) factions, or independents, encountered in coop missions.

That said, I could see something like, "Defend Rodimus Prime" turned into a mission where an NPC Galvatron and NPC Rodimus Prime fight eachother exclusively, and the players (Bot and Con together) have to defend Rodimus Prime from NPC Sweeps, Unicron's antibodies, and Galvatron himself. The cybertronians would win then if NPC Rodimus gets a chance to open the Matrix. And they have to prey that Galvatron doesn't perform a Strafe Attack.

That would be a highly scripted mission though. And highly subject to the whims of the RNG.

If I recall it was 2 level 6 'Cons -vs- 6 level 2 'Bots or something. It was a good plan, it just needed some tweaking.

And I still don't get why people were so against turrets and radiation. I don't see them as stealing xp as such. Battlefields aren't safe places and damage can come from more than the guy on the other side shooting at you. XP stolen? Then perhaps for missions like those a bot should automatically withdraw if they suffer x amount of damage from the environment AND earn an xp bonus for doing so. (Bot learns environment = bad hence the xp)

npcs make other issues, such as who gets exp from killing them and do they get exp? like the sharkticons, the exp doesnt go anywhere, but theyre also not fighting with real players over the exp (but they are producing exp).
