More (entry-level) weapons, please.

This is meant to be a short thread requesting that there be more Fpwr. 0/Skl. 0 weapons available for newer players. While one would expect 1/0 or 0/1 weapons to go fast, the inventory is showing virtually no basic weapons. My Lv. 0 characters -- created over a year ago -- have no major competition on their level, unless it comes from oldheads like me who simply never upgraded their bots past 4 units.

Please help out the new guys!!! Release more 0/0 weapons!

0 FP weapons suck. You're better off going without a weapon and using kung fu. Don't worry. It was downloaded into the bot's cerebral matrix upon creation.

the game is resetting soon, so there will be more weapons available then, but yeah the majority of weapons are complete junk, anything below 2fp isn't worth using, any pure skill weapon is utter crap, anything that doesn't have a median damage class of "very heavy" is utter toss, as is anything with a recharge past 36 seconds

which pretty much means all but about 7 weapons are actually anything but decoration

well i picked that figure from the air but in descending order;

1.Gatling Gun,(No Recharge, extremely high damage bracket)
2.Battle Blades(small recharge, high damage bracket
3.Energon Crossbow(acceptable recharge, good damage)
4.Dol laser rifle(borderline recharge though at low level recharge is acceptableas it's decent damage bracket shames everything esle)
5.Double barrel Plasma shell shot gun(Small recharge, acceptable damage
6.Poisonous Paralyzer Fluids(cheap DBPSS clone, cept needs more xp)

and Unarmed(no recharge, requires alot of XP, and has a rather unpredicatable damage range) can be anywhere between third and last on that list.

sorry i don't rate the Fusion Cannon, while it's damage is decent the xp and energon cost is horrendous, and it's gots one of the slowest recharges in the game only 5 are slower. neither my high level weapons testers where impressed with it

i redeem it with logic, think of the recharge time as cooling down time, a weapon using that much energy would probobly overheat, and it would take a lot of skill to use such a strong weapon, unforchantly megatron fired it so may times in a row, it wasent funny, and that kid of stuffed up my thearey, dam my spelling

Logic? fanwank technobabble more like.

given the average mission time, the recharge means you'll get 2 maybe 3 shots off with the Fusion cannon, compared to the NR gatling gun, it's junk; it's more expensive energon and xp wise, does roughly the same damage, but you'll get less shots per mission.

I myself am good, thank you.
About half of my characters have a Fpwr. rating of 1 or better, and for the few who don't, I still happen to have a few Disruptor Rifles, the entry-level guns of my Railrobots. I was referring more to stuff for possible new (2007-200?) players.

General Lee is using an Energon Crossbow (probation). From time to time I switch him over to the Laser Rifle. I've learned that the difference between the Energon Crossbow and the regular Crossbow is HUGE, so I may be selling that one. Urbaneise uses a Semi-Automatic Rifle, Shotgun (aka Railspike, the Railrobots' leader) uses a Photon Eliminator (ironically, the toy version can also use it), an upgrade from his Cyclone gun. Railrobots Pacific and Express still carry their Disruptor Rifles. Cumulonimbus, the administrative commander (read: desk jockey) alternates between the Cyclone Gun and a Lightning Rifle. Broadcast, my last new character, uses Railspike's old Disruptor Rifle.

Generally yes, but he did ask a legitimate question so I'm willing to let the warning slide this time.

that's junk too

in light of the nerfing of the blades and dol this is my new list

1.Gatling Gun,(No Recharge, extremely high damage bracket)
2.Energon Crossbow(acceptable recharge, good damage)
3.Electric cannon(borderline recharge though at low level recharge is acceptableas it's decent damage bracket shames everything esle)
4.Double barrel Plasma shell shot gun(Small recharge, acceptable damage
5.Poisonous Paralyzer Fluids(cheap DBPSS clone, cept needs more xp)
6.x-ray laser(with the nerfing fo strength these are quite good alternatives)
7.Grenades(X-ray laser for gamblers)

while the S&M Blades are both nice weapons, their high skill requirments render them nigh useless since strength is much more of a factor, 10 str and an EXB will do better damage than 3 str and either of high skill blades weapons, and if you're gonna spend that much xp on a weapon why not just go straight for the Gatling gun anyway

as for brawling it's toned down but still viable option if STR is nigh maxed.

I'd add the Energo-Sword to that list. Good damage and great recharge, and if you're a strafer building up towards the Gatling Gun, it's a very good intermediate step and better than just sticking with the Energon Crossbow.

I admit I've never thought much of the Electric Cannon, but maybe I'll give it another look.

you're right about the energo-sword though, i'm still not sure it's that much better than the EXB and a bunch of STR, the electric cannon only gets in becuase the dol got nerfed
