By me, to start. For example, can one obtain more alt-mode options? Are weapons only obtainable through the buying link? If so, any tips on when to look and see if there are weapons for sale? More will be added if these are answered, thanks!

Only 80 alt-modes, but the kinds of alt modes available to you rotate so that you get new ones to substitute your current ones you can choose from.

As for weapons, yes. You can only buy.
