How do I add new characters?

I've read the stickies and searched for any threads regarding this, but I still cannot figure out how to add new characters to my team. Thanks for your help!

Clink in the link in your team saying 'create another transformer'?
You need enough energon to affrod them, its 500 i think.

At the risk of sounding stupid, could you please describe exactly where you find the 'add another transformer' link? Thanks.

It's been a while since I was able to do it (you can only have 12 and I maxed them out years ago), but I think it's in the registry beside the 'view team' and 'alt modes', etc, options.

I think it may be at the bottom under your inactive troops on your registry page, but as with JP its been ages since ive needed it.
