has anyone ever won in this mission? its the one where you have 12 level 0-1 tf's vs. a lvl 8 judge and a lvl 6 sharkticon... it just seems impossible!

Best ive been in was a mission where we got the Judge to 22%, it certainly can be done if it was all lvl 1's. Ive made it my ultimate goal to kill a Judge before reset.

Seconded. It seems to me a group of 12 lvl 1's with appropriate minicons (Chargers/Lifters/Deflecters) *could* do it. An even spread of avoiders and rammers would be nice, though i suspect more rammers would be helpful. Repairers and strafers need not apply...
To this end my current tactics for "Ambush the judge" missions is to throw in one of my rammers and see what happens. So far I've had some pretty spectacular results, xp-wise, but no wins

I think maybe the Sharkticon should be replaced with an Allicon just to make it a bit easier.

The problem with these matches is the dang Judge keeps restoring the sharkticon health to full! There may be no wins, but the XP gain is fantasic! The quint missions with the Overcharge Drones are the missions that are rediculous!

Deflector's get fried by the Judge as if you dont have em, i tried twice, better off with some offensive boosting ones.
For that matter even a Sharkticon seems to hit through them.
And rammers seem to have most succes ye, but i also send in some strafers at times because they get a insane xp gain usually.
Avoiders dont do much more then just that, and havent really tried repairer.

I just tryed a lvl 1 strafer in one of these, got over 3000xp for it but next time I'll try a rammer to see if we can actually kill this guy.

When i can i use a rammer, its just the best shot at doing the most damage.
(my best strafer was 10k or something

)

I had a level 0 hit high in that mission while armed with a Lifter. Its hard to repeat though.
http://www.seibertron.com/heavymetalwar ... _id=209042LOL the Cybertronians lost that battle nontheless.

I want to win one of these.
The Judge MUST be beaten first as
he repairs the Sharkticon to full health.
Strength, speed and courage seem to be a must
with dealing with them. I am sure the right minicons used
would be a boost too, as well as also necessary.

Maybe that's the whole purpose of the mission. Battle stats and pride aside, if I was going to get my skidplate handed to me for 3000 big ones I know I'd be the first in line. It's nothing a little CR time can't fix, after all XD

My rammers are routinely pulling out 5-6k from these missions. Nice.
And as for minicons, if deflecters seem to make little difference i'll try Lifters and Chargers. Should at least boost my xp gains slightly....
Strafers are statistically at a disadvantage cos of the very low number of opponents compared to attackers. Less targets = less effective strafes.... But if youre whoring good xp, keep it up. My strafers never managed much....

The trick is to make them over-ampers. (Since the quints are having more stats than normally their levels could have, it's not a bad thing.) My anti-lv.1 quint mission setup: 9 Strafe (enough to get 4-5 attacks to those frutti di mare runaways) and 4 Fp. (and RL)

Hes dead!
http://www.seibertron.com/heavymetalwar ... _id=213183Shame it wasnt me who did the killing blow but nonetheless 6 lvl 1's and 6 lvl 0's is enough to down a Judge. Sharkticon wasnt far behind, soon we will have them both!

I say in order to win the Ambush the Judge mission, you have to have 1-2 Lv.1 Repair Vehicles with a ton of Armour, a Defector/Trippledipper Mini-con, and alot of Avoid stats.

I really thought Trippledipper's only worked on Overcharge Drones, not Judges.

And my repairer didnt even get to the point of repairing anything instead deciding to ram stuff.

Listen to this man, he has wisdom beyond his levels.

If thats wisdom then does the fact that my strafers are routinely pulling out 6-9k XP from these missions make me Omnipotent?

You bet it does. My strafers are falling on their asses in these missions. Its just one mans opinion, but rammers are my safest bet xp (and damage) wise.
Though my avoider just pulled 6.5k from a quint mission, so just goes to show anything is possible (apart from low level repair working

)
