SEIBERTRON - Your Planet For Everything Transformers

Entry One:
"Cybertron" AUTOBOT
Name: Valkyrie
Function: Guardian of Cybertron
Alt Mode: Cybertronian spacecraft
Motto: "You shall be the next to fall."
Bio: Valkyrie was created at the same time as Vector Prime, however, unlike her counterpart, she was not created to safeguard peace, but rather to protect Cybertron, the physical body of Primus, at any cost. When Megatron's destructive march across the planet began, Valkyrie was awakened from her sleep deep within the heart of the planet and rose up against the Decepticons. Where Vector Prime's Chrono Saber allows him to travel through time and space, Valkyrie's Core Lancer has the power to deactivate even the most powerful Transformers with a single thrust, only Megatron's armor, forged from the remains of Unicron's own physical body, protects him from this deadly weapon. While Vector Prime still remembers a united Cybertron, and this makes him vunerable and naive at times, Valkyrie is much more cynical and hostile towards others. More than once even Autobots have found the Core Lancer pointed at them after bothering Valkyrie at the wrong time.
---
Entry two:
G1 AUTOBOT
Name: Endrun
Function: Rapid Assault
Alt Mode: Assault Hovercraft
Motto: "Up, over, and THROUGH!"
Bio: Endrun enjoys life even when she's being shot at by Shockwave's sentinels, though she'd be the first to tell you that she'd enjoy life more if she WASN'T being shot at by Shockwave's sentinels. One of the youngest of Elita's Autobot Femmes fighting on Cybertron, Endrun spends her time scouting positions for raids and dodging Decepticon pursuit. On the rare occasion that she's not already in the thick of trouble, she and her best friend Arcee can usually be found causing some with their mech counterparts from Ultra Magnus' unit, Hot Rod and Springer. Endrun's biggest weakness is that she usually ends up rushing headfirst into situations without thinking them through, putting her in danger that a little thought could easily avoid. While highly manuverable in hovercraft mode, Endrun's weapons only face forward, leaving her at risk if a Decepticon manages to get behind her...
---
Entry Three:
MARS DECEPTICON
Name: Excalibur
Function: Warrior
Alt Mode: Sword
Motto: "For Truth, For Justice, And for Honor!"
Bio: Whether Excalibur inspired an Earthen legend or a Mars Decepticon became part of human myth is a question pondered by many, but a truth known only to one. Rumors range from her being the true Excalibur wielded by King Arthur, to having been the Lady of the Lake, to Excalibur being nothing more than a Transformer who took her name from legend. When asked, she refuses to tell what it might be, instead telling those that ask that the truth isn't in facts, it's in the meaning behind the facts, and that the important thing is not the facts themselves, but the search for the truth and meaning behind them. On rare occasion, usually only when caught in a contemplative mood, Excalibur has been known to compare the Arthurian legends with the Cybertronian Covenant of Primus, and how Arthur's claim that he would return when his people needed him most is not unlike Primus' saying that a Chosen One would light Cybertron's Darkest Hour...
http://www.examiner.net/ussharrytruman/images/battlegroup.jpg
Name: Sentinel (named for Sentinel Prime)
Function: Battle Group Commander
Alt Mode: Aircraft Carrier
Motto: "Converge on Decepticons and eliminate same!"
Bio: Named for one of the Matrix-Bearers, Sentinel has a lot to live up to, something that many would say he's doing quite well at. Always the first into battle and the last out, Sentinel would never send a member of his Battle Group to do something he wouldn't do himself. Equipped with a squadron of drone aircraft, he is capable of providing air support as well as a steady gun hand in a fight. While the name of his predecessor inspires him to greatness, at times Sentinel finds himself wondering what Sentinel Prime would do instead of deciding what Sentinel should do.
---
Name: Sirius (named for the star)
Function: Battle Group supply officer
Alt Mode: Replenishment ship
Motto: "Compared to me, that geek Swindle is a back-alley hustler."
Bio: Sirius can talk a mech out of a month's energon rations, their spare weapon, and their left hand all before he even introduces himself. To say that he's skilled at getting the Battle Group the supplies they need is an understatement. For some, scrounging supplies is what the do, to Sirius, it's an art form of which he is a master. He's been known to trade a rare holo-vid to a Decepticon in exchange for parts that find their way to Autobot medics while he ends up with spare fuel lines that end up going to members of another Autobot unit, just to get the ammunition needed by his own team. It could be done easier, but that's just not how Sirius does it...
---
Name: Ironhide (named for the member of Optimus Prime's unit who was believed dead at the time)
Function: Battle Group Warrior
Alt Mode: Guided-Missile Destroyer
Motto: "Time for metal to show its mettle!"
Bio: Like his namesake, Ironhide is the heavy hitter of the Battle Group - when there's a fight, he's sure to be in the middle of it. At longer distances, he starts by firing his anti-air missiles at Decepticon flyers until he gets close enough to begin laying into his targets with his powerful gun batteries, and that's before he even transforms. In robot mode, Ironhide still possesses his gun batteries and missile systems, but adds a 'see-and-shoot' targeting system that uses his line of sight to guide his shots, allowing him to hit whatever he's looking at, and has strength equalled only by that of Sentinel himself.
---
Name: Prowl (named for the member of Optimus Prime's unit who was believed dead at the time)
Function: Battle Group Tactician
Alt Mode: ASW Destroyer
Motto: "A-huntin' we will go...."
Bio: Prowl's job is keeping the other members of the Battle Group alive, a difficult task to say the least, he has to be able to track enemy movements, ally movements, environmental conditions and terrain all at once, while still doing his part in an operation. Unlike the Autobot he was named for, Prowl doesn't distance himself from his fellow Battle Group Autobots, instead keeping a jovial mood around him and turning each mission into a game - he's even been known to deactivate his optics and fight using only sensors and information in a kind of 'blind mech's bluff'.
---
Name: Bumblejumper (named for the member of Optimus Prime's unit who was believed dead at the time and is still possibly MIA)
Function: Battle Group Scout
Alt Mode: Frigate
Motto: "Finding the enemy is easy, it's keeping them from finding you that's the hard part."
Bio: Bumblejumper's job is to slip through the enemy lines, find out what they don't want him to and get back out, to say that this makes him cautious is an understatement. Out of sheer habit Bumblejumper's been known to examine every micron of ground in front of him before he takes a step, just to insure that he's not triggering any hidden alarms or weapons. Not the largest of the Battle Group, he's content to let the bigger members handle the heavy fighting, leaving him to support them by keeping an eye on the team's rear or finishing off weakened opponents.
---
Name: Kalis (named for the Cybertronian city that was the site of the battles in the City of Fear arc)
Function: Battle Group Ranged Combatant
Alt Mode: Guided-Missile Crusier
Motto: "Once they're in my sights, they're as good as in the smelter..."
Bio: As far as Kalis is concerned, if he and the enemy see each other he's failed. Equipped in Crusier mode with the Cybertronian equivilent of human 'Tomahawk'-Cruise Missiles and in robot mode with a Phased Plasma Sniper Rifle, Kalis has turned disposing of Decepticons without them knowing he's even there into a way of life. While he is capable of firing multiple missiles at once, and his Sniper Rifle's power pack holds enough of a charge for over three dozen shots, Kalis considers having to use them as another form of failure, truely believing in 'one shot, one kill.'
---
Name: Deadend (named for the region of Cybertron)
Function: Battle Group Special Operations Officer
Alt Mode: Submarine
Motto: "I swear to Primus if someone says 'this is too easy', 'things are too quiet', or anything of the sort, they won't have to worry about Decepticons, I'll slag 'em myself...."
Bio: If someone were to ask Deadend what the one thing he could do without was, their answer would be 'those idiots who just HAD to say it.' He can handle the war and the death and everything else, built for stealth, sabotage and assassinations aren't anything he can't handle, his biggest problem in life is when other people say something's too easy, too quiet or anything else along those lines, because he knows that by saying that they're just asking for something bad to happen. As long as nobody does so, however, Deadend's one of the best mechs to have at your side in a fight.
---
Name: Gunboat
Function: Superwarrior
Alt Mode: none, gestalt.
Motto: "Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of those who would threaten it."
Bio: Gunboat is the gestalt form of the Battle Group Autobots. Sentinel and Sirius come together to form the torso, Ironhide and Prowl to form the arms, Bumblejumper and Kalis become the legs and Deadend links onto Gunboat's shoulder to supply his torpedo tubes as a shoulder-mounted rocket launcher.
Like Devastator, Gunboat is one of the rare gestalts with more than five componant members, but doesn't suffer from the same lag in processing time since all his componants have one goal: to stop the Decepticons. Although it's rarely used, if one of the four limb componants are damaged, the Battle Group can use a secondary transformation that has Deadend replace the injured member, however since this severely lowers Gunboat's offensive capabilities, it's seen as a last resort. The Battle Group gestalt takes his name from a statement Sentinel had made...
"I don't believe in gunboat diplomacy... I believe in carrier task force diplomacy."

Wingshadow's Bio
Function: Multipurpose Combat
Alternate Mode: MiG-29 "Fulcrum-A"
"Nothing's worth doing if it's not fun."
Profile: “Reckless show-boater” is probably the nicest thing that folks have called Wingshadow. To him, a battlefield is a playground to display his abilities to ally and enemy alike; he’ll strafe enemy positions just to prove his speed and accuracy and he’s been know to buzz Decepticon control towers in celebration. His actions usually result with him coming home with more damage than most of his comrades but he simply regards these as battle scars, proof of his accomplishments. He’s a horrible braggart and the target of much of is usually Seeker and Sweep type units. Much of it is born from his origin as a new class of aerial Decepticon and as such he tends to hold his predecessors with contempt, often calling them “holdouts who were obsolete the day they were constructed.” It doesn’t help that his alt mode is that of a fighter designed to counter the F-15, a form many Seekers still possess. This attitude gives the impression of a certain level of arrogance on Wingshadow’s part, though many note that he usually boasts about what he’s done, not what he will do. He never takes anything earnestly and is always bright and cheerful around his fellow Decepticons, except one: his younger, more serious spark-brother, Darkwylde. Darkwylde often takes his older brother to task for taking the risks he does and for his bragging, a trait Wingshadow despises since he’s supposed to be the elder of the two. The two rarely get along, rarely even acknowledging the other's presence on the rare occassion they're in the same room together. It’s rather ironic then that when paired on the battlefield they makes an effective and dangerous team.
Abilities: Wingshadow is able to reach speeds of up to Mach 2.3 at sea level and is agile enough to avoid just about any form of artillery. He possesses a pair of air-intake shields that prevent foreign debris from entering his engines, thus he is able to take off and land on runways with less than ideal conditions. He possesses a powerful lookup/lookdown sensor system, which allows him to track targets that are hugging the terrain. He can also passively detect targets with an infrared search and track system, located in a glass ball in front of his cockpit, allowing him to follow his victim without using his sensors and thus giving away his position. The high-energy laser cannon in his forward fuselage converts into a hand-held rifle in robot mode and the six wing-mounts on his jet form can carry up to a total of 8,800lbs of ordinance. His favorite is a type of spark-seeking cluster missile that can target and hit any opponent up to 80mi away. He can literally “fire-and-forget” a large proportion of his payload while he takes care of any other opponent.
Weakness: Wingshadow very rarely thinks before he acts and often gets himself into situations that are far beyond his ability to handle them. Because his boasting tends to alienate his fellow aerial Decepticons, particularly Seekers and Sweeps, they’re often more inclined to leave him to his fate than to assist. Though much of his weaponry uses “fire-and-forget” technology, he will usually hang around to watch the effects, leaving him vulnerable for a counterattack. These weaknesses are often reduced, though not totally negated, by the presence of his brother.
Darkwylde's Bio
Function: Aerial Interceptor
Alternate Mode: Su-47 Berkut
Theme: "Bad Reputation" - Joan Jett
"War is cruelty; there is no use refining it."
Profile: Darkwylde is Wingshadow’s younger spark brother; the two are sometimes erroneously referred to as “the MiG brothers” due to their Russian based alts. Although they’re related, you’d never find two Decepticons who were any more different. Darkwylde sees the war through less rose-tinted optics; to him, it’s a serious, deadly business and those who don’t recognize that have no business in it. There is no such thing as a target that’s “off limits” to his processors and no distinction between “civilian” and “soldier”. Since one supports the other, attacking both would bring the war to a close that much quicker, so there isn’t a convoy or outpost that’s safe from one of his attacks. The Autobots despise him like few other Decepticons and he’s even alienated many of his comrades, a few of whom believe that even his methods go too far. Darkwylde is unconcerned; if his tactics bring a end to the war all that much faster, then so much the better. Though he and his brother make a lethal team on the battlefield, off it, they hardly speak to each other.
Abilities: Darkwylde can reach speeds of up to Mach 2 at optimum altitude; though he usually limits his top speed to Mach 1.8. In an Earth-like environment, he has a maximum altitude of just over 59,000ft. He’s armed with a 30mm photon cannon above his left intake and can carry up to 18,000lbs of ordinance on fourteen wing and undercarriage hard points. His unique forward-swept wings design gives him the advantages of a higher lift-to-drag ratio, shorter take-off and landing distances, lower minimum flight speed, longer range at subsonic speeds, improved stall resistance, lower risk of spin out, and higher agility in conjunction with thrust vectoring engine nozzles. He’s equipped with an infrared search-and-track system in a glass bulb in front of his cockpit, a system similar to what his brother Wingshadow carries.
Weakness: Darkwylde’s usually careful about how he far he pushes himself, a far cry from his brother’s recklessness, but he’ll sometimes exert himself beyond his limits in crisis situations. This usually results in him stalling out, and though he can usually recover quickly, he’s vulnerable in this state. And there are many Autobots who are more than willing to take advantage and ground him – permanently. While his wing design gives him a host of advantages, it also produces strong rotational forces that can twist them right off, especially at extreme high speeds. He’s suffered a few crashes due to this problem.
Millions of years before Optimus Prime and Megatron ....
Chamber of the Elders
"He must not know our plans for him."
"Even if he were to learn of our plans, there is still a good chance he would submit to our wishes. If he wasn't so devoted to ruling Kaon he'd be sitting here beside us."
"True, such is the respect he has earned from his people. But even so, he is a Cybertronian of honour, and as such would never go along with a plan that would see some Cybertronians become more powerful than others."
"Which is why he must never know our true intentions. We do not know if this will even work. If it doesn't, Kaon will find itself a new leader. If it does, we will use the same energy to increase our own power. Together, he will be no threat to us."
"But how will we get him to undertake this? We simply cannot ask him to submit to an experiment!"
"Which is why we shall offer the power to him as a gift, a gift of power from the Elders of Cybertron. We shall tell him that there are dark times ahead and that this power will ensure he will be able to protect Kaon and it's citizens."
"Very well. Summon him to this chamber in three solar cycles."
Kaon
He stared at the blank screen, the message had been received. The Elders had summoned him to their chambers. There they would bestow a great power on him to combat a coming darkness but also to honour him for his dedication to Kaon.
The honour didn't matter to him. He never sort praise for his leadership, he did what he did because he wanted the best for his people.
But this coming darkness disturbed him. He himself had begun to feel something reaching out to him. He did not know what it was, but it was evil, pure evil, and he would not allow any harm to come to Kaon or it's citizens.
Chamber of the Elders - three solar cycles later
"You understand that this power we are about to bestow upon you has never been bestowed upon any Cybertronian before. That you are the first to receive this honour and you receive it to help combat the coming darkness."
He stared up at the Elders, sitting on their dais, looking down upon him.
"I do" he said, stepping forward into a ring slightly recessed into the ground.
From beneath him a bright light exploded all around, enveloping him in a vortex. The energy began to seep into his chassis.
The Elders watched as Kaon's ruler was engulfed. They could scarcely make him out such was the energy's brightness. But they could see enough, they could see him growing in size.
Inside the light, the energy was infusing in every single one of his systems, but without warning the light was gone ... replaced with images. He saw Kaon in ruins, Cybertronians fighting Cybertronians, and deep within himself he could feel the darkness touching him, and as it did he saw the darkness for what it was, a giant planet. He watched as it travelled through the universe, devouring other planets. He could feel it, the darkness was alive, intent on destroying the universe. Intent, on destroying Cybertron.
Suddenly the light returned and he felt the energy infusing in him again. This was the coming darkness the Elders had warned him about, the darkness that had touched him, wanting him to join it in it's path of destruction.
Again without warning the light disappeared. This time he stared directly at the Elders, not up at them, but directly at them. He had grown, in size and power. He felt the power coursing through him, he felt it, like the darkness, trying to take control of him.
The Elders were speaking, but he was not listening, he was too busy fighting an internal battle.
"How do you feel." an Elder asked.
There was no response. Kaon's ruler didn't move.
"This was obviously a failure. No Cybertronian is obviously meant to be infused with the power of the Matrix."
"We do not know what the Matrix is for, whether it's meant to infuse a being with power or to simply guide us in battle against the darkness. We cannot call this a failure, he may simply not have been the powerful Cybertronian we thought he was."
"Then we find another. We find what it takes to infuse ourselves with this energy so we can rule Cybertron forever"
Inside of him, the battle continued, he was quickly gaining control of the energy, incorporating it into his systems until the battle subsided and he had regained control to hear the Elder talk of ruling Cybertron themselves
"You are fools" he said. "You will never control Cybertron. The darkness comes from within as well as from outside. I have seen the coming storm, Cybertron will be torn apart before the outside darkness arrives to engulf us all. And you ... so-called Elders, have been blinded by your own desire for power to see that."
The Elders looked on in shock as a sword formed itself in his hand.
"We are the Elders, we have been since the beginning. You have no idea the knowledge we have, we know what's coming and only we can lead Cybertron through the internal darkness to counter the external darkness."
"YOU KNOW NOTHING!" he roared. "You seek power for yourselves. The darkness tried to touch me, it tried to control me. It failed, but I learnt from it, it opened my optics, I can see the darkness already entwining around all of you, it has already touched you and is already controlling you."
"We cannot defeat the oncoming darkness, we can only embrace it." one of the Elders said.
"The darkness is evil, you, are evil. I once swore I would never take the life of a fellow Cybertronian, I considered it an act of evil, but if becoming evil myself is what it takes to defeat evil, then so be it."
With that, he leaped forward, his sword cleaving through an Elder. He reached out and grabbed another, tearing the Elder's head off.
Within a number of breems the slaughter was over. Some Elders had tried to fight back, but to no avail, he had become far too strong.
He had been touched by darkness and by light, he had seen the future, what was before would never be the same again.
He would do whatever was necessary to ensure the darkness would never engulf Cybertron. No one would get in his way. He would embrace evil to defeat it, such was the resolve of Damocles... ruler of Kaon.
Scavendrill's Bio
Function: Structural & Mechanical Engineer
Transformation: Construction Crane
"There's not a technical problem out there that I can't solve."
Profile: The reputation Decepticons have for destruction and mayhem is so ingrained in the minds of the Autobots and their allies that those who meet Scavendrill are completely shocked by his demeanor. He believes that warfare is a counterproductive effort, a waste of materials and manpower that could be better utilized in other fields. His first love – and some would argue that it’s his only love – is construction and manufacturing. Any assignment that has him designing a new structure puts him into a tizzy; even performing simple maintenance on a structure or Decepticon unit makes him absolutely giddy. And one shouldn’t mistake his views on warfare as pacifism; he’s more than happy to design some new weapon system or repair a fortress’ walls for his comrades. It allows him to contribute to the cause and still allow him to do what he loves, not to mention keeping him off the battle field. Though his unwillingness to engage in even simple training simulations continues to vex some of his more aggressive comrades, even the highest ranking officers in the Decepticon hierarchy understand that he still plays a vital role and are willing to overlook his attitude. After all, he’s exceptionally good at what he does.
Abilities: Scavendrill’s aptitude in the fields of construction and maintenance are legendary among the Decepticons. It’s not uncommon for him to put together a finely tuned construct out of parts that would have otherwise been sent to the scrap yard. He can figure out the schematics of just about any technology put before him in a matter of nano-clicks and can pinpoint any malfunction and repair it, no matter how small. Many units needing repairs that go into see him usually come out functioning better than they did when they came off the assembly line. His crane arm splits into a pair of finely tuned maceration lasers that he usually uses for his construction or maintenance projects; they can also be used as medium-range weapons should he find himself in a fight. He’s armed with a small disruptor rifle hidden in his left arm and is capable of towing up to 125 tons in his crane mode. He can also drop a number of magnetically-triggered energon mines, a device of his own creation, from his internal load to discourage any ground pursuers should he need to make a fast exit.
Weakness: Scavendrill by nature is not a warrior and isn’t very well trained in any form of combat whatsoever. His weaponry is defensive in nature, so if he finds himself in a fight of any kind, he’s in serious trouble. Fortunately, he’s sufficiently armored enough to absorb any damage long enough to escape and he’s considered valuable enough by the Decepticons that they’ll often rush to his aide in a spark pulse. He sometimes becomes so engrossed in whatever task he’s involved in that he’ll lose track of his surroundings, which is usually how he gets himself in danger.

Name: Imperial Convoy
Allegiance: Decepticon
Subgroup: Star Wars Transformers
Function: Destron home
Quote: Ten thousand years to the Decepticon Empire!
Bio: Imperial Convoy started life as a lifeless, non-sentient Super Star Destroyer called the Bastion in Emperor Palpatine's Imperial Navy, but a hyperdrive accident sent her into the Transformers' galaxy and upon discovering this treasure, a group of scientists took her to Cybertron and gave her a spark.
It is unclear what happened from her activation until the Destron Exchange Convoys found her wandering the galaxy, but it didn't matter. She asked to be trained as a pilot and the team's flyers gladly took her in for some basic training. However, basic training was not enough to satisfy her lust for battle and she enrolled in War Academy to study battle tactics before reemerging as the team's tactician. Her favorite move is using gravity wells, especially the ones that her onboard generators make, to accelerate jets before they strafe so as to enhance the effectiveness of the strafe tactic. She's very big on formality and her loyalty to the Decepticon cause is without bounds.
Imperial Convoy often works with Sith Convoy by playing this 'tape', so Sith Convoy's like a mentor to Imperial Convoy and the two are almost inseparable. This Super Star Destroyer's body houses the Destron Exchange Convoy's flyers during their downtime.
Abilities: Imperial Convoy has overwhelming firepower.
Weaknesses: While she is powerful, she is still young and unaccustomed to her large size, often stumbling in the middle of battle and falling prey to her natural lack of maneuverability.
