As usual, I was thinking about ways that players can further diversify themselves, and I came up with this idea, this has been in the support staff room until now as the focus has been on the new alt lists and the botmodes coming in, but now I think it's time for all to see what we've been cooking up:

there are the 4 major factions, that much is a given, but howabout when a player names their team, they can choose from a small selection of applicable subgroups Not all have to be canon, there's probably a lot of people out there who have variations on the standard. The icons picked have no outcome on teams, a g2 decepticon will still fight alongside a g1 con or a transtech con. It's just another step to make the teams unique. Naturally, just because they're here, doesn't mean that they'll make it into the game

I don't like the idea of placing a set name to each icon, but they're named here just for giggles.

Is there a symbol for Autobot knights that anyone can dig up?

anyway we could use different icons in the same faction for different TF's,i for one have my squad divided into 2 teams,and letting them have there own icons would be great.not everyone has a team all the same,and having a icon for the fem tf's, and air support,and ground unit types would be wonderful IMHO.

I still think the icons should be selectable on a bot-by-bot basis.

If you want the icon to represent your entire squad - give everyone the same insignia.

If you want to divide your unit into two or three squads - differentiate them with 2 or 3 icons.

If you want to represent the origin of each of your characters - give them each a different symbol.

If it's tied to the whole team, you only get to exercise option #1. And at that rate, we could just transplant the emblem system from the boards into the game.

And what connection is there between Transformers and TMNT?

Edit: NM, I didn't noice the symbol I requested was already on the list.
Anyway I'm in favour of as many sub group symbols as you'll let us have!

both franchises beloved series(G1 and tmnt vol.1) both took off in the same year? lol(sarcasm)...nothing other than that, that i know of, and a couple tmnt alts being in the preds v2 list.

But i just figured if there were custom ones making it in too, i just thought that could be a nifty one to have, plus i would use it for one of my characters that im writing his origin based on the TMNT movie.
