Recharge = time between between each shot on your missions log.

As for weapon selling out; Glyph is virused at the moment and we had to uninstall him, so dont hold out much hope. Until then, use the next best weapon (guess) or fists.

I like fists. Those work nicely. Especially when you get the giant green foam ones that roar "Hulk Smash!" and other great sound effects. Speculation has it, that the weapons shop also carries some giant orange foam fists that have more great sound effects. But that's just speculation.

£50 says blue Optimus Prime fists will be on the shelves by the end of Summer. Megatron 'fists' to also be available, but only in the shape of a giant egg-whisk.

If that doesn't happen, then you need to create them yourself. Sell them bootleg outside the theater as small kids and old fogies go to see the movie.

Ironically, from my LARP days, I actually have the equipment at home to do that. :-?

If only they could appear on weapons page:
Nemesis Wheelie hits Wheelie with a Optimus Prime fist.
Wheelie has laughed himself into stasis lock!

What do you want to go and buy them in a shop for? I'm sure we've all got some spare ones lying around at home we could use. They look, oh - I don't know, about as convincing as some fists I've seen in an upcoming movie. :P

Here's a worrying thought, do you think HMW will be able to cope with the VAST influx of new fans wanting some Transformers action of their own after the film comes out? I mean, and no offence here, but it seems like the game's being held together with some sticky tape and wood glue at the moment as it is, particularly if Glyph's got a virus.

Sorry but your totally wrong there Black Guardian. Everyone knows the game's being held together by duct tape and twine. Close but no cigar.

Also I expect a massive n00b influx around rougly June with at least half of said n00bs buying up massive amounts of the default weapons possibly to the point that the only options are hand mounted lasers or bare fists. Then by roughly mid to late July at least a quarter of the n00bs that bought out the weapons shop will never return to the site leaving weapons permanitly in their stockpile to never be used again. Even newer players will cry tears of sorrow as the shop goes unstocked.

Chaos mounts as weapons continue to sell out, or worse rot to dust as they degrade in your stockpiles. Threads will be made, flames will kick up, people will bicker back and forth. Someone will make a tinfoil hat and mutter about the 5% everytime someone mentions anything. The rivers will turn red and the very Earth will tremble. The end is coming! Aggggghhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!! Run!!!!!!!!! Save yourselves!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sadly only the last paragraph is sarcasm. And only parts of it are me joking. Also if any of you decide to flame me go ahead. I could give a feck less. Some of you Sour Patch Kids need to seriously lighten up before you have strokes.

You all, as in those who have extra weapons lying around, do realize that if the July noobs get desperate enough, we'll be able to make a handsome profit off of selling our spares by making them do us some favors off of HMW before we sell the weapons, right?

If you "don't give a feck" why do you make comments like that?

Or do you think that other people are not permited to have their own oppinions unless they conform to your... limited vision?

Actually there won't be a problem with weapon shortages come July.

Why?

Duh. HMW will be shut down to dedicate server resources to the influx of new fans looking to discuss the new movie and get news on it. You all should know by now that HMW is only allowed to run when things are quiet. The minute there's a big news story it gets taken offline so everyone can read the news!

We have always been the red-headed step-children of Seibertron.com.

Which part of it's appeal. The uphill battles are always the most rewarding.

I don't get a feck if people flame me is what I meant Lucky. I make comments like I do because I seem to be one of the only ones with the bearings to do so.

Like I said Lucky lighten up. As much as I don't like you I'd feel bad if you had burst a blood vessel over something as trivia as something someone said on the internet. The point I was attempting to make with my previous post is that some of you people are taking all of this way too seriously. Bottom line it's a game. Do I want more Battle Blads? Sure, but I'm not going to spazz out if their sold out. Do I really want everyone to loose all their hard earned xp and energon? No, but if it happens oh well. It could be worse.

But to stay on topic, because I sense a locking coming if I don't and attempt to keep it civil, there is no problem with the way the weapons are now. Weapons could degrade, something I hate the idea of too but I'll live with it if forced too. Some of us know the pain of having an unresttable alt. Throw into that mix the setup requirement for say Battle Blades. That alone is a nice chunk of xp and if they degrade and you can't get them your Transformer now has 5 useless stats. And if you reset him your screwed. It's all a matter of perspective. Because trust me this could be a whole hell of a lot worse.

Isn't it interesting how every single time you post a retort to me or anyone else that goes against your grain you always veil a threat of physical violence or death inside?

Not that you can actually do anything... but it is interesting.

And something that the limited number of mods in this forum have taken note of.

I sense a lock coming because it's so far off topic. Better part of the first page is spam after the question was answered.

Well we do only have two locked threads on the first page. HMW history dictates we have to have at least three.

Just you and Q-Redux. :P I can disagree with others and still not covertly threaten or attempt to curse them. And if I cared enough about getting banned, I probably wouldn't make half of the statements I do. Although truth be told I actually bite my tongue a fair amount. If I actually stated what I was really thinking half the time I'd have been permabanned from this site by now.

But if you think I'm joking about the weapons situation mark my words. Come mid July we'll be flooded with new players most of whom won't stick it out to play HMW on a permanant basis. And the weapons they buy will sit in their armories and be of no use to anyone. Much like many of the other dormant player accounts that I'm sure are still in the database.

I'm really torn on the issue of weapons degradation. On one hand: yes it will help to stabilize the weapons issue. On the other hand: I'm sure it's going to piss alot of people off when their weapon suddenly rots to dust or breaks. Especially if it's an uber weapon.

I think there are also other weapons related issues that need to be addressed before something like weapons degradation is brought up. For example the weapons need to be rebalanced. It makes no sense for a firepower 2 weapon to be cheaper and more effective then the entire run of firepower 3 weapons. And why the hell are the firepower 4 weapons half the energon cost of the firepower 3 weapons?

Recharge rates should be changed (sorry Tammuz and Bun Bun.) to No recharge, short recharge, and long recharge. No recharge weapons should have low to moderate damage ratings, short at the most moderate and up, and long recharge should start off very high to compensate for longer recharge times.

Several other posters have come up with great solutions for the weapons stocking issues. I like the idea of customizable and scaleable weapons. I also like the idea of stats determining damage for weapons not the weapons themselves. But if we have weapons degradation and that's the solution that's chosen, I hope we also have something along the lines of CR for weapons. For a price (that would be reflective of the weapons cost perhaps 10% of what you originally paid)weapons will be repaired and refurbished. Or since skill is effectivly useless, make skill also effect the chance a weapon will break. The higher the skill the slower the degradation basically.

That's how you bitch and moan. At least offer some constructive critiscm and an idea or two. Don't just freak out and throw a fit. Again I could give a feck less if I get flamed, warned, banned or whatever. I'm far past the point of giving a damn.

As mentioned in the Weapon Amnesty Thread. I'd like to know how had would it be to run an enforced buy back of weapons on inactive/closed accounts, that might act as a short term fix.

An interesting notion, connected I suppose to the possibility of deleting long disused accounts, but how precisely would one enforce it? Can it even be done within the current mechanics of the game?

Accounts are never deleted (they have a tendency to **** the forums up). And why should inactive ones have their weapon stripped from them? It may be out of a person's control that they can't access their account.

Yes, I suppose that's a fair point. But then I suppose people could start complaining about weapons being stripped. The most important question is surely whether that's even possible?
