Changeing team bios to fit the setting of V2

I know I've put some thought in it and I was wondering how many other people have also. I looked at the fact that the original war was over and the downgraded ,oh sorry I mean upgraded, cybertronians (Maximals/Predicons) have been in control of cybertron for several hundred years at least. I decided to stay Autobot ,so I had to keep that in mind ,like why they didn't get Maximized. I also kept in mind that all sorts of technology went through the transformer race especially at the end of the war and we will be able to use them in game.

My team: http://www.seibertron.com/heavymetalwar ... p?id=20605

Some of the changes I'm making. Some are fairly minor.

The False will be changeing his name and he will be more eccepted into the group. His original sin of trusting Decepticons would have been ,at some point, washed away. Probably will make him a headmaster. (It would be cool if someone had a character who could be the guy who tricked him in the first place. Though they could easily be destroyed by now.)

Roc will be made into a targetmaster. What better way for the guy who refuses to shoot ranged weapons to have a ranged attack than to have someone else do the shooting. I will probably give him a really long recharge weapon to fit him more.

Hotshot will get his wish of being an air to air fighter. Toward the end of the war the Decepticons didn't have as much of an air advantage so a guy specializeing in protecting ground troops wasn't as big an issue. (Any one have a seeker character that could be the firebomber. I promise to have Hotshot try and get in on many missions as he can to get that particular seeker. )

You can always use one of my X-Cons! Also X-Prime was a Unicron minion at one time, and he was a Con spy. You are more then welcome to use his name in a Bio or 2.

It wouldn't make sense for my team to upgrade to Maximal... or DOS.

I think its a cool idea. I plan on updating my characters names and bios in order to fit their new roles (since I'll be going Predacon).

I really couldn't see my team with its fanatically Idealist leader just siting back and accepting the Decepticons being reduced to an organized crime level, so my team is now The Restoration, a group of Decepticons Working towards Restoring the Decepticons to their former glory by spreading rebelion and destruction from onboard their armoured military train, Derailed. Only done the team bio so far, need to get round to individual members.

Eventually, when I finally finish all the behind the scenes stuff on the altmodes, I'm finally going to write down what happens to the War Crashers.

BAsically they're going to be led into an ambush against Windracer's and Phasewing's teams and get the grease pounded out of them. The only survivors on the con side will be Knightbird, Dominatrix, Sonic X, Necrotek and Lug.

Due to a Decepticon conspiracy in the whole affair, Knightbird will lose all faith in the Decepticon cause and become a mercenary. Those that survive follow her to become the Iron Knights.

It is rumoured that WarPorn Industries will devolve into a rampaging hoarde of homicidal psychopaths, hellbent on laying a path of destruction across the planet thus bringing eternal darkness to the realm under the auspice of the Cybertronian manifestation of Awesome; Wheeli...

...What?! *looks at notes*

This is the last time The Zombie Cheerleader gets to do the filing!

I finally cogitated a brilliant idea for a new team last night that will fit with being in the "Guardians of Cybertron" faction.

What I have in mind will be a heck of a challenge though.

The Rexcons were scattered after the Quint invasion, some of them destroyed, some of them went for "everyday jobs" such as bounty hunting, but as Chaoslock sees the Decepticons rise again, he puts together the remaining Rexcons under a new name, the Chaos Claws to join the new Decepticon army.

I've already updated most of my team's bios to link up v1 and v2.

The basic idea is that the during the Quintesson invasion the Beast Legion help with the defense of Cybertron's core and and make a last stand (actually a series of smaller last stands by individual members) trying to fend off a collosal army of Sharkticons. The team are all stasis-locked, and in the case of two characters terminated, and subsequently ignored by the rest of the sharkticon army.

Cut forward to the outbreak of a new war on Cybertron, and a team of maximal adventurers, explorers and outcast scientists go exploring Cybertron's depths. They find a re-awaken the Beast Legion, who join the Maximals. Some of the team are reformated slightly and they're joined by some of the maximal explorers (One as an actual team member, others as background characters).

The only character I've not written an updated bio for yet is Gorebash, the team's seige specialist.

Interesting, though is the actual default story assumeing a massive sharkticon attack at some point? My understanding is that V1 and V2 will not really be related. Some people just remake simular characters. If that is so you could always have the team stasis locked in a fight with Decepticons in the distant past.

If I understood right, than the Quints are going to return in V2 as counterweights when a faction gets too big influence over Cybertron

Be present yes, but I was under the impression that the massive Quint invasion we are gearing up toward will not be in the back story of V2 ,but I could be wrong.

I was under the impression that things in V1 were the past of V2, though this hasnt been confirmed so I could easily be wrong. *Turns on the OS signal* Lets find out!

Time to open the can of worms!

Rough Draft of v2 Team Bio:

With the war dividing his children, pitting them against each other, Primus became acutely aware of just how vulnerable Cybertron was to outside incursions – the Quintessons at best and Unicron at worst.

Unable to stop the war and unite his progeny through the efforts of his disciples, who often as not became drawn back into the conflict themselves, Primus took drastic measures. Risking Unicron’s attention, he used the Sonic-Canyons to search for Gobos, one of his thirteen original Transformers who had left Cybertron to explore the cosmos.

Though he was unable to locate his child, his gamble paid off – Gobos had founded a colony on a far away planet, and given rise to a splinter race of transformers. Though the denizens of the planet now called Gobotron lived in peace and prosperity, they themselves had once been divided by violent conflict, a fact which suited Primus’s needs well – obviously these ‘Gobots’ were not entirely naïve to the ways of war.

Immediately, Primus dispatched Vector Prime to Gobotron with an urgent plea for help. Though most of Gobotron’s citizens were unwilling to entangle themselves in another war, many answered the call, some out of pure altruism, others out of devotion to an ancient, half-remembered deity, and most out of thirst for adventure.

Vector Prime returned to Cybertron with the small army of Gobots, which had reassumed the ancient title of “The Guardians”, and brought them before Primus himself, deep within the bowels of Cybertron. There Primus looked over his prodigal children and felt a stirring of hope. They were primitive in design, by many respects, physically awkward and underpowered, but his coding ran true in their sparks.

Scouring data collected by Vector Sigma, and tapping the power of the Plasma Energy Chamber, Primus reformatted them with bodies that bore the benefits of eons of Cybertronian military science.

Confident that the Gobots were now capable of surviving in the midst of the brutal conflict raging on the surface, Primus gave his Guardians their mission:

Protect Cybertron from Unicron, the Quintessons, and the Unknowns at all costs, and, if necessary protect their wayward cousins from themselves.

Got the first individual bio done too, but I think I'll save it back for a while.

I'm choosing to ignore the official statement about the two being unrelated, largely because I don't see the two as incompatible; v1 is largely G1 era while v2 is later. The current Quintesson storyline seems like a good way to help bridge the gap for my team. It gives them a bit more of a heroic vibe and a chance to rewrite them into an actually functional unit than the assortment of freaks and oddballs that the v1 bios describe most of the characters as.

Cool, it's your team. Are you going to make use of the fact that Maximals get some vehicles when chooseing alt modes to represent guys who haven't yet gone through with the Minimization ...I mean Maximalzation process ?

BTW what's wrong with being a group of freaks and oddballs?

I plan on pretty much starting over. As it is now the only Marauder from my original group of Decepticons/Autobots is Hellion (not including my namesake).

I have a pretty rough idea of GP's new history, which my go along with him originally being a Decepticon. The rest of my Maximals are still being worked on. I hope to have bios up and ready before v2 goes online.

I've been trying to come up with what my group has been doing in the downtime.

One of the ideas is they help other races (Human what have you) set up colonies especially the Starport area with the warehouses. They have the experience at it ,the skills required and I figure most of them would enjoy the challenge. Heck even Roc would enjoy the fighting that could go on at a backwoods colony especially if they mainly work at places with dangerous lifeforms, violent sentients, and/or low levels of law. Think wild west kind of places.

I'm basically just adding on to mine, saying that after fighting the Decepticons on Earth for however long the gap is from now until BW era/BM era/whenever the hell this thing is taking place (no offense :P ), my team is ordered back to Cybertron by Optimus after hearing reports of decreased Decepticon activity on Earth and large increases of both Decepticon and Predacon activity on Cybertron. Upon entering Cybertron's airspace the team is shot down by AA guns and land a few miles outside of Iacon. They are then ambushed by a Decepticon/Predacon attack force, severly injuring -Maximus Prime-, Boltbrain, and Meds. Blazer Prime sends out a distress signal, which is picked up by SC's Team Teraelectronvolt, returning to Cybertron after waking up from an EMP blast. So Higgs Boson, Cauterise and Rebuild go down and try to treat the wounded, while Fort Worth leads the rest of Teraelectronvolt to clear a path to Iacon. Searcher then sends a message to my team's Maximal ally, Silver Wind's Team Plenary, and tells her to have Serene and Extricate prepare to take on wounded. Once at Iacon, the two femme medics conclude that the only way to save -Maximus-, Boltbrain, and Meds is to extract their sparks and build new bodies for them. So the combined efforts of Serene, Extricate, Higgs Boson, Cauterise, and Rebuild work to create new bodies for the three injured warriors. They eventually succeed, upgrading them with new altmodes (which is why I'm giving these guys movie alts) and stronger, faster, and more efficient bodies.

That's it in a nutshell

I wanted a challenge - Making the Gobots cool is about as challenging as it gets.

Seriously, their biggest handicap was a lack of tech-specs on the toys, and that I can correct.

I probably should rewrite my team's overall description, especially considering recent events. Problem is it took me some time to get a team description together in the first place. :?
