Do you stick with a specific alt for you mech regardless of how they are doing? or are you willing to change the alt to give your mech a fighting chance?

I haven't reset a con in almost a year now.

I'm just too lazy

Ive got 3 currently that I wont reset myself, 2 Autobot alts that the cons won ages back and the TIE Fighter that dropped off the list nearly 3 years ago, but thats cos none of them are in the current rotation.

In the new game, I dont think ill worry about it quite so much, but ill probably stick with the same alt class on the whole until I find an alt I really like and stick with it.

Although I've moved Northclaw and Wreckage around into each other's slots, I've kept Wreckage's alt the same as Northclaw's until either the alt comes back into rotation or the V2 reset occurs, whichever comes first. Otherwise, everyone has kept their alts basically the same since they were created.

Only if the current alt isn't working for them.

I don't only if the alt I want is not avaliable (ie, I want to alter stats, but cdan't because the alt I want isn't avaliable).

But seeing as I'm new, I suppose old alt-forms aren't that big a deal, especially with V2 around the corner.

I'm open to trying different set ups and weapons and such but I've had the same alts since I registered for the game over a year and a half ago. I like my Seekers.

I'm usually pretty stubborn with my alts. I don't use any rares, so I'll just wait for a particular alt to come around or use a similar one, but the former is more likely.

I haven't reset anything in over 2 years.

I haven't changed an alt since about a year ago now, I've reset a few 'Cons every now and ten to make em work, but I've always been able to get the alt back.

except for my Autobot tank, that I'll lose when V2 gets here.

I'll change the alt, but I won't change the alt type (tank, jet, weapon etc).

If I were to change the alt type I would use a different character entirely.

I have a few 'Bot forms from when a formal defection was allowed. I so wish I could keep some, because I've got some in need of a... reformat. You have failed me for the last time, Chromehound.

I will usually stick with one alt for a certain character. Hellion has been his current alt mode since his Decepticon days over 2/3 years ago. GP has been the only one of my bots that I have really messed with. Having the xp he has makes it easier to really play around with his stats and using different alts.

I only change the alt if I change out Bots. I'm waiting for v2 to totally change all of my current ones to different Alts.

I reset all the time. With the alt rotator, I have preferred alts that I'll pick up when I can, but if I need to reset and an alt isn't available, I just do it and use a different alt until the one I want becomes available again.

When I reset a guy I always pick the same alt or if it's not available something similar. If nothing I like is available I just wait for next rotation.

I am pretty set on having Evolution Prime as a semi truck and Optimus Magnum as a tank. That doesn't mean I dont reset them. I will play around with stats to see what works better. All the others I play around with. I finally have some planes again after about 2 years after I quit trying to configure them. Used to have a full team of rammers. Now I have the whole mix in there.

Seeker jets seeker jets I love you, cybertron ones tooo... and the classic seeker jet too.

Seeekers either F-15 or War within.

I change things around for a few of them when I'm bored.

I won't change Starscream, Skyfire or Airstryke til V2 though

Longstrike had the same alt mode since I started playing. The green tank. This last year he's sucked like nobody's business. I still didn't change him. I finally changed him last night, only because he's one of the characters I'm not keeping in V2. Now his replacement, Kodiak, is stomping royal tailgate!

But I've still never changed Shadowflash.

I have a few I play with. The rest I stubbornly leave. I don't think Graverot's ever had the same alt through two rotations. I've learned a lot playing around with him.

I say Half and Half! At least 4 of the original 6 have the same alt. from like 3 years ago. The other 1 is still the same type of alt. (better lookin), but the last one I use to experiment. My other 6 that where added on way later are whores! They get used and abused!

My transformers do not change alt. modes often. And when they do it is because I want to take the character in a new direction concept-wise. My team follows the cannon precedents for reformating, that being either when the bot is completely thrashed and needs to be rebuilt or the ever popular 'The other guys just got serious upgrades so we need to power up too' plot device that American cartoons do so well.
