But I loved the Preds in beastwars.
pretty much all of my beastwars figures are predicons.

I just dont want to kill off and abandon my Autobots.
Ive grown attached to the little guys.

I wish I could have two teams.

What faction do you think I should be?

Autobots. Anything else is just target practice or road kill.

Well, since you didn't list maximal as an option , I'd have to say autobot.

Sure Its possible a Predicon could be the Green Lantern of Cybertron.
They are chosen from anyone in the sector who has great will power and can overcome great fear (or somthing like that)
Still, its unlikeley the guardians would choose a Predicon.
A Predicon would probaly refuse to protect autobots and maximals, and I think a GL would have to protect everyone in the space sector.

Well the Preds could certainly use the numbers. As for your characters is ther a way you could go for the 'honourable villain' stereotype and just make a few changes to make them Preds rather than killing the team?

If a Galvatron can be an Autobot, soon to be Maximal, I don't think it is far fetched for a GL to be a Predacon.

Doesn't matter to me which you choose. Either way gives me the chance to slag you on the battle field

Might I make a suggestion? Why not go Maximal? You can have the beast side of the alt modes with some vehicles in the mix if you want them and honorable side of the war. It's a compromise and in a way getting the best of both sides. Yes I am a Maximal recruiter but I tried to think of this objectively and thought that maybe you could compromise and get some of the qualities of both worlds in one team.

I'd say go for the Predacons. I recently struggled with the same decision between the Autobots and the Maximals, and I decided to go for the one with the least numbers, to help do my small part to balance things out a little more.

If those are your choices, go Predacon, if for no other reason than the fact that they need numbers badly.

As far as the characters:

1) I could see a Predacon becoming a Green Lantern - a particularly brutal Green Lantern, but hey, it takes all kinds. I'd think however that the Guardians (of Oa in this case) would expect him to become neutral in the war on Cybertron.

2) Retiring your team doesn't necessarily mean killing them. You can write in references to them in your Pred bios, possibly as enemies they have faced. Especially if you do a Predacon Sinestro Corps.

3) If you want to see the old team live on, see if there are any Autobots who'd want some of your characters. Methusalen's kept two of my old Decepticon characters alive and murderin' for a long while now.

Your team leader could be a Predacon General given a yellow ring by the Qwardians.

Another one could be one of your Autobot characters possessed and reformatted by Parallax as a Predacon.

Another could be a Manhunter who has been rebuilt with a Predacon body.

Another could be a Maximal with a "Power-Ring" from the Anti-Matter Universe.

And of course, the Cyborg (Henshaw?) could easily assume a Cybertronian form.

And 7 more bots left to play with...

I am tempted to take Caelus' idea of just writing my old guys into my new pred bios, but I dont know if its enough for me...

Rampage as a Sinestro Corps would be crazy:

Though I would probaly make my own cybertronian sinestro corps guy.

I'm still leaning to Autobot but not by much,
who am I kidding its still 50/50.

Ill probaly end up not deciding down till the day of release of V2...

If you are a fan of the toys/characters/faction they why not?; they are the lawful evil side which is more than sufficient to keep your Green Lantern persona and you get to cut lose and have fun with your old mates every now and then.

If being outnumbered is whats worrying you; you can be certain that the rest of your faction will be reliable (Spidey is always here!) and, speaking as an outnumbered 'con over the last 3 years, its a much bigger advanatage than the bots think.

Indeed. Looks like the preds may need the numbers

True, but I reckon they need them less than we think.

They may not be swarming around us like flies yet, but they will toughen up way faster than the bigger factions due to the extra opposition and will be more than enough of a challenge for the vermin Maximals.

Yup Join the Preds join I'm on most of the day everyday (thanks to work) except this week due to some home stuff.

Plus we won't be short on targets which means missions with opposition and plenty of XP.

just make your choice based on what alt modes you can select

If you want to play both factions ,play predicons. I personally would prefer that the factions were more even.

I considered switching to maximals just for that reason ,but I'm not as big a fan of the beastformer stuff and have someone working on some pics of my currentish team.
