Nope and nope. This will be a level playing field

I thought that Conjurous ideawas exactly what was going to happen!
Have I missed out on something
We can try to have some sort of recognition for veteran players but it won't be in the form of XP or Energon. I am open to suggestion as to what the recognition should be but we would need to start a different thread for that discussion.
After reading that, I thought I would start a thread for the discussion
So what recognition should it be? and how long should a player have been playing to be classed as a veteran?
P.S. Sorry Steel Starscream, if you already made one.

None.
For the simple fact it's near impossible to define "veteran"

Not to mention that it all becomes irrelevant when v2 goes online.

Half a year after V2 arrives, there will be veterans...

I agree with archiving the high score page, but other than that I don't see any need for a form of recognition.
Besides, the veterans are already going to have an advantage: After the reset, anyone who was playing in V2 is still going to have all of their characters. Someone with 12 warriors on their team at the end of V1.whatever-we're-on-now will have 12 warriors on their team going into V2. However, someone who starts playing at the beginning of V2 will need to pay to create their 12 characters; ~ 6000 Energon in total, if I'm recalling the creation costs right and nothing changes in that respect in V2. Since the veterans will already have their characters created, that gives them an effective 6000 Energon bonus to spend on weapons or armor at the beginning of V2.

I had a cockatoo for a number of years, she didn't like me, I didn't particulary like her.
The snake that ate her I liked even less.
My shovel made good friends with it's head though

What defines a veteran in this game? I mean you have some people here how have played for many years and have the xp to show for it. Of course you also have many people who have been here just as long but didn't have the time to play as often and have less xp then some that have been here for a shorter amount of time.
So who is the more "veteran" player? They are both here for the same time, the one just couldn't/wouldn't spend as much time as the other. Who is to say that that person isn't a veteran?

So you're saying they should be eaten by a snake?
And GP; Veteran = Survivor of a battle. Come V2, everyone that
was in V1 should count as a veteran.

I am simply telling a story about my cockie (cockatoo)
Plus I get to make fun of EC's typos.

I think Burn put it eloquently when he said veteran is impossible to define, that and Scantron makes an excellent point about character creation bonus for all of us with 12 characters now

Maybe a ribbon that would be "worn" on their profile in the forums? Kind of like the service awards the military gives to soldiers and civilians.

I think that Burn, Physchout, and Sprockitz have brought up the only three choices that won't lead to arguments. Archive the board, can't argue with that. Or make either nobody or everybody be considered veterans going into V2 to avoid a big debate over what veteran would mean in this game. But ultimately I wonder if having any people being veterans in V2 would just be one more thing to make new players coming in feel more like outsiders then they already will? I would hope it wouldn't, but I thought I would raise that point just in case.

No, there will be people claiming to be veterans.

No use for another thread like this! We where supposed to have V2 before the Transformer movie release in July and anybody before that would be V1 Vet. At least thats the way it sounded. Then the small oops happened. V2 is taking longer than expected, but well worth the wait. If you really want to show your a V1 Vet. just look at the date you or the other person joined! Nuff said! Oh and grab a screen shot of all your old team Alts.
