There are now 4 faction forums on top of the four subfaction forum groups.

EVERYONE in each faction has access to their faction forum. There is a script run daily to move players into the correct faction forum based on the faction they are in.
Autobots = Iacon
Decepticons = Darkmount
Maximals = Elder Chambers
Predacons = Tripedacus Forum


NOT EVERYONE has access to their faction's subfaction forums.
I am developing a page where subfaction leaders can control who has access to their forums. Right now I am doing everything manually so it is slow goings until I get this finished. All players will need to go through their subfaction's forum mods to get membership to these groups.
AWC = Evolution Prime, Crazyfists, Ninjaburn
RDD = Dynamax, Psychout, Sustain
MDF = .op., Galvatron Primal, sumowrestler
PAC = Symbiote Spiderman14, Original Sin

So I'm kind of confused here AWC/RDD/MDF/PAC are sub factions to their related factions? I was under the impression that these 4 would be the main factions for the Autobots/Decepticons/Maximals/Predacons respectively. I thought the Autobots/Decepticons/Maximals/Predacons descriptors were for choosing what general side you were going to be on.

I think you're just confusing the wording, Mogwai. Autobot, Decepticon, Maximal and Predacon are the factions.

AWC, RDD, MDF and PAC are the subfactions.

So will there be only one Maximal/Pred/Con/Bot forum whereas the sub-factions have a few more?

Actually, I would like to claim that the Preds (PAC) and Maxis (MDF) are both the subfaction and faction. I know that the Maximals had no intentions of having a subfaction come about and I doubt the Preds have the number to create a subfaction. I can't really say for GP or OP but I would let any Maximal into the MDF so the "subfaction" and "faction" would still be the same people. The only reason I can see the definition of subfaction fitting the MDF is that IF we end up kicking someone out for whatever the reason. Then the only place they would have to post is in HMW GD. In a way, making the PAC and MDF subfactions make us look like we came later instead of the first incarnation of our respective sides.

Will the "Maximals" have their own leadership and diplomats? And, the MDF will have it's own or how will that work?

Thats entirely up to you and your faction, Moggy.

Yes, the leadership and diplomats will be from the four factions, if your faction chooses to make one of it's diplomats MDF or "non-MDF" that's all up to you guys.

We have RDD leaders, but we still report to the Decepticons.

Think of the MDF as the "Special forces" of the Maximals if that helps.

And if you guys want to make all Maximals MDF then the whole thing is moot, but the options are there if you want to use them.

Very well put.

While I don't think OS has finalised things, I think the plan is for any potential "official big leaders" will encompass the whole of the faction. Meaning any decisions they make will affect both members and non-members of sub-factions.

Any "leaders" appointed by the sub-factions will more than likely not have a influence in the game unless they are put into one of the top jobs and even then they must be responsible to the WHOLE faction, not just the sub-faction.
