ramplate is only taking 1% damage on each of the non-tactics hits. This makes no sense and if anything looks like the old iron bug...but he doesn't even have 10 tons of strength to have 10 tons of iron on. I'm baffled.

It is the Computational-Type robot ability it dose that probably not supposed to but it does even the bulk type robot ability dosen't do it
heres another example

okay, I guess that ability combined with the high endurance does it. I notice now my guys that have that type are getting 2-3% damage inflicted on them.

Same here, I'm pretty sure this is a huuuuge error. Although even if it was intended to reduce damadge this is to an extreme that would require fixing anyway.

I did a write-up about this issue in the "Bugs" thread a little while ago. If I had to wager, without knowing anything about the code or what-have-you, I'd guess that the effects for the Bulk and Computational-type robot modes just got swapped, with Computational doing what Bulk is supposed to and vice versa. Can't prove it conclusively though, since it's more difficult to quantify effects of CRG and INT than to show changes in damage due to weapons. If there was just a swap in effects, it might not be a priority to fix right now since, technically, nothing's "broken", the labelling is just incorrect.

As far as the damage reduction being overpowered, I don't really see that. According to OS, IIRC, the damage reduction should be the equivalent of 1/2 extra ton of armor and 1/2 point of END for each point in robot mode ability. Looking at SS14's log there, his character has 10 STR, 9 END, 8 RNK and, I'm assuming, 10 tons of Electrum already; that kind of set-up should only be taking 5 - 10% damage with a Gatling Gun anyway. Add 10 points in robot mode ability, he'd have an effective 15 tons of Electrum and 14 END, so I can see why the weapon damage is reduced so much. In sprockitz's log, Ramplate would have an effective 15 END (and we know END reduces weapon damage to some extent) plus 11 tons of Iron, I'm assuming.

Also, as was pointed out when this was brought in, it is possible to beat these "invulnerable" characters with other set-ups, so it's not like they have an insurmountable advantage. TBH, I find the damage resistant set-up to really only be good for Repairers; my other characters using it get trashed on a fairly consistent basis.

i don't think their completely swapped; if we assume computational bodies are acting like bulk bodies, going off the repair mechanic my computational medics have exceeded thier maximum repair damages.
