why can't i pick a robot mode? do i have to have points in a certain stat? also do the different modes make a difference? (does more power actually help with damage?)

Hi there, welcome to the game. :grin:

For some reason, in order to access a robot mode, you need to reset your character (character profile, Upgrade link, then click the Reset Transformer option)

And yes, there are 7 different categories of robot mode, each one modifies a different stat.
