Ok, what's with the help threads?

Alright, what's going on?
It seems to me that there are an increasing number of topics popping up asking about V2 and help in general, without the people who started the thread realising that there are stickied threads dedicated to them at the top of the page.
This isn't a complaint, contrary to your belief, but more an eye-opener, if we have the threads for help, why is no-one using them?
So, I ask, does anyone have any ideas how to fix this, I know it isn't an urgent problem (or a problem at all), but it's annoying when people post new threads for unecessary things, when threads to answer their questions exist.
Can someone help me, or am I just getting paranoid over nothing?
Don't say I'm getting paranoid, just answer the post with your views please.

Because people can't read?
Because they're lazy?
Because the forums been broken since last year (or so it seems).

wait wasn't He the one who ignored the stickied mission backup thread in the con forum to start his own?
ignoring instructions and etiquette is the meat and veg of the interweb.

Eep.
In my defense though, there was no clear indication that that was the reinforcements thread, and I didn't fancy at first reading through 9 pages of a topic that didn't interest me. At least on the General Discussion they're stickied, AND they clearly say what they're on about in their titles.
Side note: Special prize, is it a pony! No, wait, a seahorse!

mmmmm yay, another person who thinks it's wrong for people to create a thread asking for help and advice.

Honestly, yes, there are stickies, and while people could read them there's really no harm done in people creating a whole new thread just to ask something.
If it annoys you that much, don't read it?

Not so much that it's wrong, hell, I like helping people if they have a problem, but they've been getting more frequent as of late and I'm just concerned why these people don't just post on the respective threads at the top.
I have nothing against it, I'm just seeing why there's such a rise in threads asking for help, and how we could possibly accomodate for this incident.

Yeah, I don't see this going anywhere good.
People have the right to ask, and I would hope that with everyone who posts a help thread question, there are several more who get the answer they need by reading the threads here.
