I had this idea for a while now, but I think I'll give it a try, since not much is happening on the forums as of late.

Basically all you do is create your own missions in the game's mission format, here's an example:

Decepticon mission report: Torch the Human City!

Decepticons, Starscream has ordered the immediate destruction of a fleshling city on Earth, we require your assistance in thismatter, as no doubt the Autobots will launch a defense on us. Destroy this city for the Deceptions, or speak to Starscream yourself!


Pretty basic, but you get the idea, it's like any other mission you would fight in in the game.

Rules to follow:

1) State the factions that are participating out of the Autobots, Decepticons, Maximals, Predacons and the Guardians of Cybertron. (No Quintesson missions please, unless stated otherwise)
2) State the number of participants, the ranges are 4, 6, 8 and 10 bots per faction. (No uneven missions unless again stated otherwise)
3) State the level range of the mission, this is fairly open but keep the boundaries fairly respectable for the mission at hand, such as 0-3, 4-6 etc. (If I'm wrong on this, please correct me)
4) Write up a complete mission report, at the bare minimum it should have the report for each playabe faction. (for more complex mission reports, see my later examples)

and a minor point, 5) Don't state the rewards for the mission, as it's usually decided by the minimum level boundary.

If you have an idea, even if it revolves around your team, then post it, be creative and show us your ideas for what missions should be like for you!

Actually we need clarification from OS on just how he'd like the new stuff structured.

And it is to be taken seriously, just like all the other mission creation threads in the past, these sorts of threads make for one less job those in charge have to worry about.

Speaking of creative threads, looks like we lost our sticky. Guess we're not allowed a permanent place to show off our creations aside from one thread that gets overrun. :-(

It is serious? Man I didn't realise, I was only thinking of doing it as a fun little project for everyone, but if that's what's going to happen, I won't object.

Er, any serious objections from anybody about this?

Autobots/Decepticons Mission

Level 0-1

6 vs 6

Autobot version:
Wheelie has been constantly annoying the Autobot team dispatched on a mission to infiltrate the Decepticon base. Silence him before he causes more annoyance and endangers the safety of the team and the success of the mission.

Decepticon version:
The Autobots have dispatched a team to infiltrate our base! Along with them is the pest Wheelie. Prevent them from advancing and destroy them all!

Protect the Natural Gas Refineries/Exploit and Destroy

Autobot/Decepticon Mission for Levels 0-1

6 versus 6


Autobot Mission Statement:
The Decepticons have unleashed a horde of sparkless drone Decepticon attackers on natural gas refineries for Energon harvest and Destruction. Stop the horde of Decpticon dronesand their Decepticon Leaders and protect the surrounding human towns at all costs.

Decepticon Mission Statement:
Lead the drones to victory in exploiting the natural gas refineries for energon harvest and then destroying them to wreck havoc on the surrounding areas inhabited by the puny humans. Destroy any Autobot opposition with fervor.



Another one that's a little more comical.

Assist Omega Supreme/Swarm the Giant Nuisance

Autobots/Decepticons level 0-1

10 versus 10

Autobot Mission Statement:

Attention all Autobot recruits this is Ulra Magnus. Omega Supreme is being harassed by a large number rookie Decepticons. It is doubtful that he will really require your assistance but it is a chance to get to see one of our powerhouses in action and blast a stray Decepticon.


Decepticon Mission Statement:

Alert all Decepticons this is Starscream. Although you may think that tackling Omega Supreme is a suicide mission you are sure to make some effect and the Autobots are sure to send some of their vile unskilled reinforcements which should be easy pickings...provided that you stay out of the reach of that bumbling three clawed behemoth.

Remember, we need to wait until OS gives us the formats for the new missions, so be prepared to edit your missions should they need changing.

Decepticons vs Predacons 4 on 4 levels 1-3

Decepticon Mission Report: Engage the Raiding Party!

All units, we've received confirmation that the Predacons are attacking one of our energon mines with the intent of destroying it, success will mean that lots of our resources will be lost, as we have equipment and man...slave labour working down there. Move out and protect it from the incoming attack force. Fail, and the slag pit will await you all!

Victory: The mine has been saved...for now.

Defeat: The mine is not lost yet! regroup and attack again!

Predacon Mission Report: Assault the Energon Mine!

The Decepticons have left one of their energon mines undermanned and underprotected. We strike now! Destroy the mine and bury the Decepticons resources, crippling their war effort quite severely. We need 4 Predacons for the mission, due to the small space of the mine. Do not fail us!

Victory: The mine will fall soon enough!

Defeat: This insulance will not go unpunished, attack the mine again! NOW!

Autobot Mission Report: Attack on the Mine!

Decepticons are busy defending one of their energon mines from the Predacons, lets hope this assault eases pressure on our side from these factions!

Maximal Mission Report: Attack on the Mine!

The Predacons have engaged the Decepticons in one of their energon mines, hopefully a cave-in will cripple both of these factions for us!

Autobots this is Optimus Prime and it is with deep sorrow that I have to take action against Maximal Merchant outpost 8. They will not allow us to use their planet as a depot and it is essential to the war effort so we must take it by force.

Maximal Mission Statement

Yo Maximals its Rattrap. Those clunky 'bots think they can use use our peaceful Merchant planet as a military depot. Show them that this land is ours and we can't be muscled in on.

Maximals versus Decepticons Lv. 2-6

7 versus 7

Maximals: This is Lio Prime! We need to infiltrate the Decepticon Prison on Theta-5 to get Starscreams indestructible Spark for us! If we succeed to duplicate it, it could mean a great advantage for us!

Decepticons: Galvatron to all Decepticons in the Theta-5 district! A maximal team wants to get their hands on the traitor Starscreams Spark! It took me long enough to get him behind bars, don't let them out of that prison!

Autobot Mission Report: Halt the Execution!

We've recieved word from Hotrod and his scouting party that the Decepticons are planning to execute a group of Autobots using a slag pit! We need to the stop this immediately, we require six Autobots for the mission. Roll out, our guys don't have much time!

Victory: Our friends are saved, excellent work bots!

Defeat: It wasn't our battle to win. Prepare to strike again if Megatron has the nerve to try such a thing again!

Decepticon Mission Report: The Show Must Go On!

Lord Megatron has ordered the public execution of a group of Autobot scum, in order to show our supremecy in this war! No doubt that the Autobots will try and stop this, so we require six Decepticons to provide a guard unit to prevent any interference with the procedings! Heh, heh, let's watch them burn!

Victory: Perfect execution! Megatron is most pleased by your perormance!

Defeat: How dare you fail in front of Megatron! We will try this again and you will succeed or else take the Autobots places!

Maximal Mission Report: Decepticon Exectution!

The Rotten Decepticons are slaughtering Autobots in the most vile way possible, let's hope the same fate doesn't fall upon any of us!

Predacon Mission Report: Decepticon Execution!

The 'Cons are melting down Autobots in a public display of power? How typical of them!

Autobot/Decepticon Mission for Levels 0-1(variable)

10 versus 10


Autobot Mission Statement:

Attention ALL Autobots!! REPEAT Attention ALL Autobots!!

A rogue Quintesson hidden on Junk Planet G has some how managed to lay claim to a hidden sample of the Hate Plague. Capture it before the Decepticons so they will not have time to turn it in to a weapon of even great destructive capability than it already is.

Decepticon Mission Statement:
All Decpticons with in Range of this transmissions responde immeadiately . A Rogue Quintesson on Junk Planet G has found a sample of the Hate Plague. Converge on his location immediately and claim this for the Decepticons. Destroy any opposition that stands in your way!!

(This could also be redone for the Preds and Maxs as well)

Lv.0-11
3 versus 3

Get that Data Disk! / Protect Unicrons head!

Decepticon text: Our intelligence reported that the databank in Unicrons head contains several lost alt. mode data. We must seize it for once!

Guardians text: The decepticons try to sneak into the off-limit zone of Unicrons head! They must not reach it!


Misc. Idea: This mission could give the winning commanders rare alt and robot modes: The robot and alt. modes of Galvatron, Scourge, and Cyclonus for would be available for them till the next rotation.

Maximals vs Predacons 10 on 10 level 0

Maximal Mission Report: Defend the Forward Base!

Grave news Maximals, the Predacons are preparing an assault head-on into our main base, no doubt this is a diversionary tactic for more sinister things to happen, but the numbers involved are overwhelming, therefore, we require your assistance to fight them off, ensurre that our base does not fall!

Victory: They have been held at bay, good job Maximals!

Defeat: The walls have been weakened but they've not fallen, prepare for another assault!

Predacon Mission Report: Direct Assault of the Maximal Base!

Predacons, Scorpinox orders the new recruits to charge the frontal defences of the forward Maximal base while we perform a reconaissance mission, he also believes that we may be able to cause some serious damage to their defences in the process. Don't disappoint us, strike now Predacons!

Victory: Serious damage has been caused today, their resources have been crippled further thanks to you!

Defeat: That wasn't good enough, prepare for another assault, we need more time in their base!

Autobot Mission Report: Maximal Base Assault!

The forward base of the Maximals is under attack, regardless, the Predacons and even the Decepticons must be planning something!

Decepticon Mission Report: Maximal Base Assault!

The organics are fighting each other, with the weak Predacons lauching a suicidal offensive on the Maximals, although hilarious to watch, this might work to our advantage...

Thanks to the frontal attack made by the Predacons on the Maximal base, the Predacons have been able to infiltrate the base undercover. We can't let this opportunity go to waste, infitrate their base, and steal their information for ourselves, if any Maximal or Predacon gets in your way, blast them!

Victory: We've crippled both the Maximals and Predacons today, well done!

Defeat: Fools! Despite your failure, their attacking the base full force again, re-infiltrate and try again!

Predacon Mission Report: Sneak Attack Maximal Command!

Predacons, Scorpinox's diversionary tactic worked out just fine, the Maximals base is undefended, strike now and destroy every...WHAT? DECEPTICONS! THOSE BACK-STABBING...! Predacons, Do not allow the Decepticons to take the victory that is so rightly ours, infiltrate the base, and STOP THEM!

Victory: Gah! We caused insufficient damage, but the battle is rightfully ours. We're assaulting again, prepare for another infiltration!

Defeat: NO! OUR VICTORY! This outrage cannot stand! We strike again, Infiltrate, and WIPE THE DECEPTICONS OUT!

Autobot Mission Report: Attack on Maximal Command

Something's happening inside the Maximal base between the Decepticons and the Predacons, but we don't know anything else!

Maximal Mission Report: Internal Struggle!

Our base has been infiltrated! But it seems the Decepticons have stopped any plans the Predacons had on our base. Try to bolt that entrance down, let no-one else enter in future Maximals!

optimus primal" i need 7 maximals to go to vector omega and set up a based there, this will be used as a secondary base just incase if there is ever the need to desert this base" go to vector omega and take down any decepticons there

I doubt you have to put the awards for the mission up, but you need to put the level boundaries on, that usually determines the payout at the end.

OK i have a rougth idea and call it AMBUSH. basicaly the four are planning a raid of some sort and while enrote they come a cross members of the other faction enrote to their own objective. in game terms it is a 10Vs10'ish fight split on a first come first serve basis and the only info that the other players get is what factions are participating and your own team mates. you will only find whose the other factions players in the battle log after the mission. this is a sudden skermish so it seems fit that info avalable will not be as good as in other misions.
btw feel free to flesh out these ideas and to make surggestions as its only a rougth idea

Autobot Mission Report: Destroy the Key to Vector Sigma!

Listen Autobots, Reports are arising that a key to the supercomputer Vector Sigma has been located within the core of Cybertron. Prime orders every last one of you to roll out and destroy that key before the Decepticons or the Predacons can secure it for their own needs. Also look out for the Maximals, they may have their own plans for it too!

Victory: Although we couldn't locate the key,the other factions were held at bay long enough to prevent them securing it! Good job Autobots!

Defeat: No faction won today, including us, but at least the key is safe. We must strike again to indefinateky keep Cybertron safe!

Decepticon Mission Report: Secure the Key to Vector Sigma!

Megatron has a mission for all of you. A Key to the Supercomputer Vector Sigma has been sighted within the core of Cybertron. The possibilities with that key in our possession are limitless, so every spare soldier, get out there and retrieve that key! Slag any Bot, Maximal or Predacon that dares get in your way!

Victory: BLAST! All that work for nothing, the key isn't here! But at least many Bots were slagged today as a result, well done everyone!

Defeat: BLAST! Were was that key! Regroup and try again, we can't risk it falling into anyone else's hands!

Maximal Mission Report: Protect the Key to Vector Sigma!

Maximals, reports from Cybertropolis indicate that a key designed to activate Vector Sigma, the supercomputer within Cybertron, has been descovered in the core of the planet. It is the Councils wish that you guard the area that the key resides in, don't allow the Predacons to capture it for their own selfish needs, and especially don't allow the Autobots OR the Decepticons to secure it, as they have the greatest use for it. Don't take the key for yourself either! All avaliable units sign-up now!

Victory: More Guardians are here! Hopefully they should keep the key safe, even though they attacked us before. Well done Maximals!

Defeat: No-one found the key, so at least it's safe, but we must move again to definately secure the key's safety. Move out Maximals, once more for Cybertron!

Predacon Mission Report: Capture the Key to Vector Sigma!

Predacons, a golden opportunity has fallen in our hands! A key intended to activate Vector Sigma, you know, that redundant machine within Cybertron, has been located in the planet's core. We move now and take control of the key! Every last unit fall in and take this mission! Do not allow the Autobots or Decepticons to take the devie for themselves, and especially dont let any Maximal near it either. Secure that Key, secure our supremecy!

Victory: Where is it? We did all of that for nothing! But the other factions took a trashing at least! Excellent work Predacons!

Defeat: Unbelevable, the key isn't here! AND we lost! Orders are to try again, we must secure that device at all costs!


I don't see this working with 10 players per faction though, so I might need to lower it to 6, or even 4 player per faction!

i.e. This mission is intended for levels 0-1 or levels 4-6. That's what I mean, usually the minimum level decides the payout of experience and energon (with some exceptions, lvl 0 is usually 100xp and 50 energon, whilst lvl 1 is 200xp and 100 energon).

Autobots, attention! Metroplex has engaged Trypticon near Las Vegas! Since our previous skirmish lost both base transformers their transformation cogs, the two are in a state of constant flux! Take a team of six autobots inside Metroplex and replace the cog! Be cautious, as no doubt the Decepticons will try to stop you!


:CON:

Decepticons, your master speaks! I, Galvatron, demand that you take a small contigent inside Metroplex and prevent the autobot squad from repairing Metroplex! Fail, and your heads shall hang from my throne!

The Maximal senate are trying to implace a curfew upon the three other factions! Don't take this slag from a bunch of squishies- get in there and kick some axle!
