Question not covered in HMW FAQ/help

Is there some way to determine which armor type is better?
I recently increased one of my characters Rank and Im not sure if the steel or the ceramic would be a better choice. I remember a post/thread somewhere on the site from loooooooong ago that said what type was best but Ive been gone off and on alot since I joined and I doubt that information would still be valid.

ceramic is a bit better than steel

Repair?
No seriously, the more points you put in repair the more likely it is that your bot will perform a repair.
Also, increasing your bot's intelligence will increase the effectivity of the repairs (they'll heal more %'s of your target's total health). This also has to do with the target's endurance, but that's out of your hand really.

Thanks, I thought I had read something about increasing intelligence before the boards crashed, but didn't want to risk it, having one of the alt modes that will expire and not being able to change the stats and reselect that mode.

Question. what is the recharge on the weapons for?

"No Recharge" means the weapon will be used every attack that isn't a ram or strafe. Meaning you'll never punch or kick.
"Short Recharge" means pretty much everything that isn't No Recharge, and can range from a weapon that we be usable again very quickly to a weapon that seems only able to be used once or twice per mission. The word "short" is very misleading.

This is one you have to work out for yourself, im afraid.
It also depends on what faction you are a member of, but the sub-factions in their current aspect, are player led clans/groups that tend to attract those who cant/wont discuss the game in public and who want to chat with players outside of the game.
Its been added into the registry for a totally different reason, but that will become clear sometime later I suppose.

The subfaction on your Registry pages doesn't do anything at the moment. It will do something when v2 is inplemented, but that's not any time soon.
Psychout is also referring to the player-made subfactions, but they are rather different. The Subfaction section on the registry refers to groups like the Wreckers, Dino/Dynobots, and other groups from the cartoons and comics, AFAIK.
