Sweet. And wow are the BW factions tiny... Though I imagine a large portion of the Autobot/Decepticon commanders are long-inactive.

Oooooooooooooh. Sort of brings in a entire new dimension regarding actual numbers of the 2 new factions.

Still, it would be interesting to see the numbers with players that have been inactive a long time removed, to get a sense of how large the factions are in real terms.

Oooh a check list. I'll get right to printing them out and keeping track of the ones I've put into stasis.

I agree. Maybe put a filter on the list for the ones who haven't been active in 3-6 months and then delete them totally after 6 months to a year. Some sort of time frame. It would give a better representation of the players in each faction. I know that some games delete you entirely afte so long of inactivity.

I assume utilizing this tool too much could cause server lag, so we should be good and not refresh the page often, but just visit and review.

Either way, very awesome.

Seconded, it would clear up the servers and prevent any annoyances (such as duplicate names).

It's been stated many times that accounts won't be deleted.

The three month inactivity code is suppose to be in place to help free up names. It is still around isn't it?

Looks like it's everyone who ever declared a faction and is a member, since I see my girlfriends account in there, and she hasn't played in 3 years.

Other People wrote:Stuff about filters and deleting profiles.

Filtering based on inactivity would be a wonderful addition. Would also reduce the result set and reduce server load. Latency (3 mos, 6 mos) is up to others to decide.

You may also want to consider caching this list on a daily basis so that when it's pulled it's pulling from a cache rather than the DB directly. Could reduce hits, if hits is a problem, but with < 20,000 records total it may not be.

Give a dog a hand, and he will want the entire arm.

Or something along that line.

Lets face it, some of these accounts are never going to be used again. Might as well get rid of them. Make an option on your team account to go inactive to save you from automatically getting deleted. This will save your account if you are gone for long periods of time, like military members may be. Also, if you are inactive for a certain period of time, you get taken off the active list. When this happens, inform the account user that they were taken inactive and by a certain date their account will be deleted. This will allow the user to reactivate their account.

Amen. Lets not thank him or anything lets tell him he did it wrong, works wonders for us continuing to get new stuff. ;)^

After looking at the lists I've noticed quite a few usernames that are very similar and are fairly odd in that I don't think people would immediately think of them. The following is just an example (I'm not picking on anyone here or grassing them up so please don't take offence)

hagel400
hagel41
hagel412
hagel43
hagel44
hagel47

Now unless there's some significance about those usernames that I don't know, are they all the same person? Isn't there a rule that says we should only have 1 account?

We'll take a look - if you feel like making a list, pm it to me. No need to drag this through public.
