I've nearly finished stage 1 of Hecatomb, just gotta do one more arm. But i'm unsure about his head (aside from it needing some touch ups) whether the colours work or not.
Thoughts and opinions pleaseeeee

Where'd you get the head?

Personally, the head definately takes some getting used to but I think it works fine. However, if you're not sure I wouldn't continue until you are. There's little worse than being unhappy with something once you've gone too far ahead (snigger at the pun) to change it.
What's the colour scheme to be?

That IS the colour scheme.

Ahh
Only suggestion I have is to keep his optics black. I took a peek at his bio, and it would sort of fit his personality. Give any Autobot unforunate enough to face him a feeling of dread when they look into those eyes...

ahhh I bought a new tin of it yesterday too and looked at the name (I tend to just pick colours with what I think will be good) but I can't remember it.

Maybe a black wash or something to the chest area, it just looks too bland in my opinion...

I agree with Turbo that the figure just looks to bland. Needs a accent color to make the thing pop. Other then that it looks well done.

I like the color scheme. The head seems to be missing something thou. Color wise it fits the body, but it seems to
lack that fear and dread look that it needs.
I did a quick photoshop idea of something that might add a little more to it(i tried to match the color, other than the red and black that i added in).
Short of resculpting I don't know what to offer there.
my humble opinion

Which was the exact look I was going for.
I was also toying with the idea of doing the other arm in a darker colour, give it a battle damaged look, maybe even spin the bio a bit to make it into a disability of sorts.
But with the accessories I have planned it's probably an idea I can use later down the track for another character.

My opinion, he looks like a bad rendition of Warpath... Thehead needs something to detail, than a solid red lump or monochromatic, maybe the mouth cover wold do it. Just me though.

Like I said, early stages. Very early stages. All the accessories I have planned for him will make a huge difference to his look.

Which is why i'm asking for opinions, and with what Kalon posted (sorry Kalon, I missed it before when I was replying to others) i'll add a bit more colouring to bring out more of the moldings.

Once again, outstanding work.
But the head...*gag* Main reason I hate knock-offs.
You got a spare Gundam head lying around? That head just looks too "Robby The Robot". I don't think any amount of highlighting can save it.

Not one that size for sure.
And the Robby the Robot reference? I hate having to agree with you.
I'll just bring out some more mold detailing and go with the theory that all the extra accessories will distract people from his face.

One of the main problems that I'm seeing with the head (besides the similarity to Robby the Robot) is that it's a very organic shape (read: round) and the rest of the body and features have a very sharp, blocky feel. Because of this, the head just looks out of place. That's the reason that everyone immediately mentioned it, because subconsciously, "we" would like to see the two (head and body) sort of mesh and match with similar styled features.
If you need more insight, just ask.
Word.

Good work Burn, still needs a much more sinister and metallic feel to it though, but i think the rest of the robot will cover that.
The head looks fine to me though, a bit weird as its not got the A:Megs antlers, but its good enough.
I like what you have so far and the colours work, possibly try a really light dry-brushing of silver to give it a deeper look though? It will help some of the finer detail fit together, expecially when view from range.

I'd say silver or a pale sickly white on the 'cheeks' beneath the eyes. It's the first thing that popped in my head.

Still far too small.
If you could look past G1 you could go out and pickup a Armada Megatron and know how big this guy is. But seeing as you refuse to acknowledge the existance of any other lines you'll never know just how big he is.
