Is it true???

Is it true that there's a hack or bot program out there that automatically puts your transformers in while you're not playing? I heard from my buddy who's been playing this for a while now that there's people who cheat by never playing, save for to upgrade stats and weapons/armor.

I think that's really stupid myself. I'm a fan of cheats in video games after beating them, sure. I mean, who that owns the Grand Theft Auto series hasn't set health and ammo to infinite, grabbed a few guns, and tried to see how many people they could mow down before getting bored? But that's different. You're still playing.

This wouldn't even be playing. It'd be letting the computer play for you, just so you could say "Hey look, I'm level 11!"

Either way, I just wanted to know if it was true.

yes it was true. the program was use was called Internet Macros(if i spelt it right) what used scrip and entered your con/bot into mission or arenas how ever you had it set up for. over the past when it happen, seibertron did so hard to find away to stop this.

the only way he come up with was to use a secret word what u had to type in to enter your con/bot into mission or arena.

i believe this has coverd it. but using them is cheating and i am pretty sure u wouldn't be very popular if u started.

also Welcome to HMW enjoy your stay.

Yeah, but the pass code's gone now. Does the 'submit now' button press still function like the pass code? I for one, am grateful for the 'submit now' function, because when passcodes were still here, I would always mistype some of the Japanese TF names and my spots would get taken :-x

For the moment, the passcodes are off in the mission / arena join screen because a change in the way they're coded made them stop working properly (they're an external part of the site, not part of HMW). TBH I don't like them much, and when they come back I may move them to activating characters rather than entering battles. That's if I don't come up with some other method of blocking macros before then.

hey Glyph could u find a use for instead of typeing the word. but you should click on the word that u see twice. i know this is posible as sertain game i used to play done it when u had to attack someone and it work really well.

No, my friend isn't using them. I just wondered if people still do it. It's stuff like that that makes me not WANT to play online games. I quit playing Diablo 2 for a similar reason. It's a mildly competitive game, but if you don't have a chance at winning, what's the point of playing, right?

Is there any way to tell if someone's using something like that, so that they can be reported?

In the past various systems have been mentioned, but I have no idea how far along in development they are. So right now, if you come across anyone using these type of cheats, let the mods know and we'll try our best to investigate

Oh yeah, welcome to the game and the boards :PEACE:
