Just a little idea, we need an update to the front page bulletins, why not use one to simply advertise the forums?

For example,

Hey there HMW player! If you haven't done so already, or even lately, why not spin by the HMW forum and join in the fun?

The HMW forum is dedicated to enhancing your HMW experience. There's a lot to offer from player run contests (tournaments, alt hunts etc) as well as interviews with players, role play interviews with HMW characters, plus it's a great place to strike up a rivallry, taunt your opponents, round up some backup, make some friends as well as discuss many of HMW's current and upcoming features!

So what are you waiting for? Just click the "Discussion Board" link to your left and join in!

I suggested it a fair while back and it was implied that the support crew would be doing it in the future, dependant on site alterations. Not sure if thats the case now.

Its a great suggestion.

I am, however, suprised Mkall and AS arent submitting something to Glyph every now and then for their factions to update with. They both RPG in the game forum here, can they do it there too?

I like it. Sounds nice and appealing without being pushy or forceful. Rivalry is spelt wrong though, so whomever choses to use this one, should spell check it. Goodness, nothing pisses me off more than incorrect spelling.* Which is ironic with all the slang and abbreviated words that I use, right?

Ha! I cringe CONSTANTLY when I read some of the articles here on Seibertron and many other forums from Spell Check alone. Don't even begin to mention the mediocrity of word choice, verbage, and horrifyingly incorrect grammar. *Shudders* Just thinking about that sends chills down my spine and causes me to grind my teeth.

And as the great debate went, such announcements are suppose to be for "official" events.
Though if the support staff thing was up and running properly such contests would be "official" all the time.

Maybe even just a "Upcoming Events" blurb, even for non-official things. :-?
