http://www.seibertron.com/heavymetalwar ... n_id=24380Maybe i've missed an update changing stuff, (more than possible as I float in and out of this game until the next version is released) but what happened in this battle? Both my and the autobot had energon left and there was about 4 minutes still left on the clock, so why the heck did my unit "retreat"?

game is turn based, not time based its more on a number of turns(not all turns are shown; you waste bits looking for targets) than the amount of time transpired, and the bots had handed out 146% of damage, the cons only 83%
which might explain why preds/maxis always make the cons/bots retreat as when they face the cons the retreat function adds up the bots having recieved no damage(since they wheren't even there) and the cons have been scrapping beasties(and vice versa)
also the killing and then retreating, if the retreat function comes in at the point you run out of turns, not the turn the first combatant realise it has no targets; so you'd flee not realising you'd killed everything.
at least thats what i think it's been a long time since i read glyphs bit about retreat, and i do have mighty bullshitting skills

Fair enough and makes sense. I'm sure my guy could have possibly lost the match if it continued but it would have been cool none the less to see it go the limit.
Thx for the info Tammuz.

well to be fair it's mainly conjecture of random programmer ramblings and looking at what people consider bugs.

Seeing that the game is still being developed, if it was a bug, it wouldn't really surprise me, however if it's something that has enough programming ramblings for your conjecture, i'll take it as such and move on to the next mission.
