Tactics List has changed....Hmm

So I was messing with the exp. calcutator and I scrolled down to find the tactics list has been altered!!!
Control waves, Harrass as well as a few others, they sound really interesting and I think they will be a lot more functional then the ones that were air/ground based only attacks.

Yeah a few are the same but theres also new ones like absorb ect.

In the help section go to the exp calculater and scroll down they're listed in the big blue box.

Sounds like they might be interesting, but damn, someone needs to buy OS a thesaurus. Or a Jeep!, they could get him one of those.

I see them now. You have to have the help text enabled.
At least a few are Quintesson leftovers. But they look interesting.

I won't rest until the Lay Down and Play Dead tactic has been implemented.
(Oh, and the cassette tactics for the tape player alt modes.)

you only need 5frp and 7 strafe to perform 100% damage to an opponent in one move
only the 10 10 weapons with 10 strength can get close to that, but thats about 1000 times as expensive
additionally unlike the ram or repair, you don't actually need to invest in the feeder stat to increase the damage done by strafe. investing strafe increase strafes damage aswell as increasing the frequency of it, it's a double whammey of an upgrade.

OBJECTION!
STRAWMAN ARGUMENT: all offensive tactics have to have 2 good roles one for damage and once to happen, the other two need there feeder to affect the second roll, strafe has both strafe and FRP affect it, with each point in strafe affecting to a much greater extent than the FRP(10 FRP will double the damage, 10 Strafe can quadruple the damage)
agaist 5 endurance, 10 ram/repair will do maybe 4-15%, 10 strafe on the other hand will do 4-92%

Yeah 10 strafe does 4-94% damage but thats a wide range.
I don't know how it works in higher lvls but in the 0-3 range strafe is the thing keeping my guys competetive when I'm out#'d 3-1.
But you know what takes out my top stafers almost every single time?
A good Rammer!!
Hell a good lvl 2 rammer gives my maxed out lvl 3 strafer a hard time.
From where I'm at seems like Ram>than everything at the moment.
I do agree the game needs some tweaking and you deffinatly know more about the mechanic's of it all but I'm with Chaos...please dont mess with strafe,
at least until we get some more beast facion members

You could just accept that we're only human, and stop trying to do the impossible?
Heck, major game-making companies have a hard time perfectly balancing the games they produce.
Fix armour before messing with anything else.
