I've been waiting for ages to get my name changed only to be told it was too long... If I could do it myself, it would have taken seconds.
So I ask for a different name change....
Later BVH/Galvatron Supreme asks for his own name change. Others have asked before him too.
CB ignores all of us other than BVH.

(Oh, and avvies would be nice too)

Yep. If you go to the "Edit Avatar" option in the UCP, it says the function has been disabled. :(
