My XP has been much lower than average the last 2 or 3 days. I have talked to a few people in the last couple days who are saying that their XP hauls are WAY down also. Has the XP generation code been tweaked?

as far as i can tell it's still 1%=1x2^level of the target.

Hmmm I dunno. There are MORE level 2's now and my level 2's are scoring LOWER than they were when there were mostly level 1's.

it's not really that hard to work out what your xp should be;

1xp for each point of damage dealt to a level 0
2xp for each point for level 1s
4xp for each level 2
8xp for each level 3
and so forth, doubling each time the level goes up

50xp for each avoid

100xp for winning

The XP is fine. Your drop off is because there are more level twos taking your XP.

I always found that my guy's xp seemed to peek early in the level and then again late in the lever, for some reason the xp's never so good in the middle.

Which is why sitting at lower levels makes even less sense. Sure, the enemy gains when you go up, but you got a head start on them at the higher level, so it evens out.

Underdog factor at the beginning, then the dominating factor at the end.

Being in the middle is simply mediocrity.

But yeah, generating less xp tends to suggest that well ... you ain't doing so well. Guess some people can't handle competition.

I only posed the question becasue several people noticed a difference in the last couple days, specifically. Me and my silly noobish-ness.

I should ask to have my name changed to "Scourge Supreme" and waaaaghlord can be "Cyclonus Supreme" and then we can be one big old happy family, complete with domestic violence and abuse.

you going up would only benefit me if I ever fought you. I can only think of one encounter we've had, and that was today in the arena. It's simple. It benefits the game.

You should. However, neither you or waaaaghlord ever whine about people doing better than you: Instead, you strive to do better yourselves, AND accomplish it, I might add. You two weren't ALWAYS #2 and #3. You climbed and fought your way up here with me. :grin:

Arrogant? Hardly. I spend FAR less time bragging than you people do whining about "noobs" and their "luck". Healthy competition is great. Listening to the old timer's incessant bitching about the "good old days" is what ruins the "healthy competition".

So, my suggestion is for you all to stop whining about competition and actually compete. So far, with the exception of a few of you, us "noobs" have seen nothing even close to a challenge from most of the vets.

Would you care to cite a few examples from say, the last month on where us "old timers" are "bitching about the good old days" and how we're not respecting you?

You know, i'm getting sick and tired of having to explain to some people the meaning of a joke. And you think i'm the only one seeing this seriousness infecting this game? I'm NOT!

Some of us are just trying to have a little bit of fun. That's not being disrespectful. But if it is, then perhaps some of you should actually pm the person and say "hey dude, I kinda take offense to what you just said" and actually talk it out like adults.

From what I've seen of your builds, playing habits and game knoladge as you have posted on the boards, if I were a con, and if I could rack up the sheer mass of playing time you can... well, we'd be looking at another top player.

But I cant play as much as you, and i chose to stay in the preds becuase I knew they'd need all the help they could get once again.

Now we all recognise that you have done very well, and we all recognise that you have put a hell of a lot of time into playing this game, but I am gettign absolutly sick of the 'old guard' tuants.

I was top 20 after 3 years of play last time.
I was top 20 after 3 weeks of play this time.

Old guard you say?

I wasn't referring to you. And actually, few around here say anything positive about anybody's accomplishments. It's far easier to criticise than complement.

I think if you were to do a little research, I spend a lot of time encouraging other players and giving "atta boys". :grin:
