Yup, looks like it. *goes to see which ones the 'Bots have now*

Thanks, OS, for getting it up and running! (And for putting up with everyone in the meantime.) :D

Just tried to change one of my alts, but it said that the one I wanted (the "M-808-V Main Battle Tank") wasn't available or wasn't for my faction.

Still a few kinks to be worked out?

ahem.

I'd like my CATalyst alt that was suppose to be permanently assigned to me. ;;)

I'm sure Deadboy and Snapcase want their rewarded permanent alts as well.

-edit-

I think you might have missed a couple of the new alt mode classes too.

I think this is because the rotation is random so if there's no "core" alts for the class they don't show up normally. For example, the Autobots now have the "small animal" class because a common alt got rotated in, but there's no core alt for that class for the 'bots, so we didn't have any last week.

i'm fairly sure OS said somewhere yesterday, I.e the 30th, that it would take a couple of days to sort out the alt rotator, it's only the first today(even in ozland), so i don't think OS has actually got it up and going just yet, possibly he's just twaeking which alts have which status on the core/rare spectrum, and it's shifted our available alt.

of course it's entirely possible i'm speaking out of my bottom.

That has to be Mkall's fault because i'm sure I added core ones to the new alt classes that I classed.

Fair enough. And it would make more sense to put the rat alt-mode into small animals than land animals (where it is currently).

I'm not sure if the new alt classes were finalised actually. I know I came up with a whole list of them and reasons why but Glyph only plucked out a couple of them (like the small animal) for use.
Yet another job we'll have to throw at OS before July ...

In celebration of the Alt-Rotater being up (ok maybe not fully working but hey!) and Mayday holiday fast approaching how about an Alt/Scavenger hunt?

I've got some ideas in the pipeline and I'm prepared to set one up and run it as long as people are interested. It'd run similar to Soundwave's scavenger hunt from a few months back as long as she gives me the OK to beg, borrow and steal ideas from there.

Whaddya all think?

Sentinel, the decepticons only have 1 alt available for the categories of Hovercraft and Rescue Vehicle, both of which are listed as common and not core.

Was this deliberate?
Theoretically, wouldnt this risk leaving us without an alt for those classes if the rotator is indeed random as we were originally led to believe?

EDIT: Unless thats the idea, as its the same for quite a few of the categories on second inspection.

I don't see this as much of a problem, as it probably should be completely random with no minimum numbers for certain classes (e.g. at least 5, say, tanks will come up every time). If a class comes up, then cool. If not, then maybe it will on the next rotation.

Which brings me to my question; at what interval is it planned that the alt-modes will rotate again?

It says 3 week intervals is mentioned on the Faction command bulletins.

And you may be right, I dont suppose it would be that much of a problem if alts for certain categories didnt appear at all, unless it stood empty for a long while.

I tested the ability to get an alt on a character I knew I could recover, specifically the Fox and BW Megatron and recieved an "Alt Not Available" message.

That was a bug with new alts. I just fixed it. All of you should be able to select any alt from the list now.
