Having searched (knowing this has been answered previously) and getting no clear answers....
When selecting an armor what is the deterministic factor for which is better? Energon cost, install cost, or install time?

The general consensus I've heard from people is that Iron is the best one available and that the others are all worthless. A while back, I tried ceramic and saw zero noticeable difference. Hope that helps...

That was a VVEEERRRYYY long time ago...
The aromors should be a lot more ballenced than that, as a rule of thumb the more expensive in any particular rank is the better, and obviously the higher the rank the better. However, it's all only minimal improvments, cuase frankly armor isnt that good, reguardless of what it is you are using. Maybe if it actully defended against tactics it'd be a bit better...

Install times are the indicator I've always gone by, with cost a close second. I always meant to do out a table of the products of the cost and times re-adjusted on a handy scale, but, you know, drinking.
