Just FYI that everything in this back story that you see as we go through chapters before the launch has a relevance to the game.

Whether it is special battles, characters, items, weapons or alt modes, most of the things you see in the back story you will see in the game.

Here's an example that relates to Galvatron's introduction in chapter one:



A specific battle taking on Galvatron and an army of Seekers. One of the possible "Classics" battles in HMW2.

not really. This is better than my story anyway. I love the ammount of detail youve put into making the scene feel so evil!

I'd really like to know the back story so can someone give me a new link or even a basic outline of events? Thanks in advance.

That's because its not been written by the players deliberately.

We (rightly IMO) cant be trusted to make an unbiased story for the new game as we have all picked a side, regardless of our reasons for choosing it, and this needs to be NPOV.
(also with so many great writers here, there is no way to pick one over the rest of them, so outsiders were chosen. Again, it works for me...)

So, a back story has been created for HMW2 that ties in with the new features of the game as they are showcased for us to expand on once the game starts, and as a starting point to explain all the new stuff when you'll finally get to see it.
Once the game is live the world will be ours to change as we want...

IIRC Part 1 was an intro explaining that the Maximals and Predacons rule Cybertron with the occasional scattered Bot and Con mentioned, along with minicons having citizens rights(!)*, and Part 2 was about the rise of Galvatron, involving him slaughtering a metric ton of Quintessons (and hinting how NPC characters can easily be added into missions in HMW2 to create balance and themed missions. )

* I may have imagined that part. Not 100% sure....

The way things happened in history are often merely the point of view of the one writing it, only the outcome can be proven as fact.

Well excuuuuuuse me for trying to give people a way out from worrying over their histories.

So without everyone jumping on me and attacking me for saying this... Is the plan still to launch v2 before Botcon this year? Because it is a week away. So that is pretty soon. Just curious, i know i read that was the plan a couple of places.

That was the original plan, however the forum upgrade to BB5 has messed things about a bit, and given OS to the chance to modify a few things here and there.

More than that we just don't know yet , I'm afraid.
