Present a really REALLY good case to the site owner to give at least one staff member the necessary access to make even the smallest of changes so they can do SOMETHING to keep the game alive.

Should some Mod SOMEWHERE have the ability to grant access to the forums, like the way the RPG forums used to be/still may be? Or are they tied into an old code that reads the HMW faction info?

And mayhaps, I've been spoiled on the old Invisionfree/freeboard style mod panels...

Sadly, yes.

The game doesn't have an admin to assign the newer players to the faction forums and none of the forum moderators have that ability so unfortunately Iacon and Darkmount will remain closed.

Sorry. If it's any consolation, you're in good company as it's been that way for a few years now.

No big deal. Thanks for the reply. I just wasn't sure if it applied to everyone or new players, which is why I asked.

your right but you can give them the rights to add forum access while keeping them a mod. but at the same time its a giant can of worms to open up just for one task.

Anybody here friendly with the RPG admin? It's possible that they may be able to help (as a one off) as long as the list of people to move isnt too huge.
