Server downtime

Well as you can no doubt tell, the site is back online, and i'm sure some of you have been sitting at your computers or staring at your iPhone's going "oh noes teh precious!" patiently waiting for it to come back online.

GO OUTSIDE YOU PEOPLE! sheesh. :P

But in case you were all wondering ...

It had NOTHING to do with HMW2. Yeah that's right, you're still playing the old version. So if you were sitting there grinning ear to ear thinking "YAYS! Tehy is updating to HMW2!" ... well, it didn't happen. Trust me, you'll get advance notice of that one.

In all seriousness, the real cause was a hardware related issue on the server. Ryan's been pulling his hair since the site went down trying to get things sorted out through his server host. In fact it was one of those fun little computer glitches where even the techs had a hard time figuring things out.

But as you can see, it's all seems to be fixed now. So jump back onto the train, enjoy your ride, and let the addiction kick back in. 8)

Oh and if anyone's curious, I went to work, went to the gym, went to band practice, fumed a little that my G1 Scorponok hasn't turned up yet, fiddled with Google Wave, added Halo as a friend on Facebook (she is teh hott!) watched the abysmal latest Dr Who special (die RTD!), pirated TV, pirated comics, and signed papers to get pre-approved for a home loan. 8)

And keep an eye on the news to the left as Ryan will be posting a full and proper update in a few hours.

I did at first think my iPhone was broken  then I tried my PC and 'luckily' wasn't able to get to Seibertron from there either.
Anyhow, great job getting the site back online to whoever deserves praise for that: probably Ryan mainly!

Me, I went to work, checked Seibertron, came home, checked Seibertron, checked out e-Bay auctions, checked Seibertron, slept, checked Seibertron, had breakfast, checked Seibertron, etc..
G1 Scorponok... I don't own many G1's, but that one I do. Man, you're gonna love that one when it gets to you!

I was actually glad the server went down. Gave me some time to get acquainted with Assassin's Creed II.

Urgh, aint that the truth....

Glad Im not the only one who felt it was a truly disapointing episode.
Actully, that's not fair. It was a perfectly acceptible 28 Days Later in space.
Until the Doctor saved the day. Then it went all kinds of wrong. The last 10 minutes ruined the entire episode for me. (I wasnt buying the all of a sudden 'evil' doctor, but at least that would have been fun, as it was basicly an evil Colin Baker's doctor, and I love Colin Baker's doctor, but no, as stupid and aweful as that sudden change of heart was, he then had anopther sudden and utterly poorly explained change of heart, and it went for potentially saveable to 'uhoh, it's all gone pie shaped' teritory.)

(And the trailor for the first of the the final two parter didnt look promising either, the Ood? Again? After what RTD did to em last time?)

Hey! I RESEMBLE that remark!

Actually, the timing was perfect. When the site was down, my wife was delivering our son. It worked out VERY well. I did not have to let my obsession for HMW diminish the the birthing experience (which was quite disgusting). I did not have to think of creative and sneaky ways to use my iPhone to play the game. I am sure my wife would have just gone nuts if she saw me playing (oh, believe me, I would have) while she was having a contraction. :P

Actually, I had resigned myself to the fact that I would have to severely reduce my playing time while we were at the hospital. But, with the site down, problem solved!

Pathetic, isn't it? 8-}

Could have done what Mogwai did and give us regular updates from the labour ward.

One of the most classic moments on this site.
