Tried using the experience calculator to figure it out myself, with no luck
obviously... It is listed in the tactics list, but is it even active?

Sadly, the current answer is no.

The game as it stands is still recovering from a previous programmers alterations and subsequent removal before he left, leaving the list of tactics on the calculator a bit out of date.

If it helps, the tactics that do work and are available are Avoid, Ram, Strafe and Repair, and the current list of alt-classes and the tactics available to each is listed here
