Charatcer creation competition

Greetings Autobots and Decepticons,

The original idea behind this thread was to help me with my 12th Autobot. After a suggestion from Loki I thought it would be better for this to be open for anyone to create and/or use any of the characters posted here. So if you have ideas for characters that you haven't used in your own team but would still like to see them used, post them here.

Here are a few guidelines for each character that should be considered. Feel free to add or subtract from them.

Name: (duh) - please keep it clean, can be male or female.
Alt Mode: - You can have more then one to choose from too.
Robot Descprition: What does this 'Bot/'Con look like? Do they look like a specific TF they may look like?
Background: Where did this mech come from? What abilities do they have? That sort of thing.

You can be more specific if you want, adding a weapon type he or she may use. Or you can be as general as you would like. The most important thing is to have some fun with it.

Thanks in advance

I got a couple of ideas, one of which is a former character of mine I'd like to see in action again.
Name: Redfire One
Motto: Mind the paintwork!
Alt Mode: Large air/space transport (I generally used the G1 Scourge alt).
Robot Description: Never really got that far, so whatever you want.
Background: Redfire One was once a Decepticon, the heavy aerial/space transport for exitium. Despite his large size, he is very vain, and would often refuse to carry some his former team's less restraint members for fear of what they would do to his innards.

Redfire One left exitium at around the same time as they joined the Predacon cause. As far as it has been reported, he refused to take the 'upgrade', fearing it would mean he was no longer really a 'Transformer'. He was also reported to see it as a betrayal of the ideals he had been programmed with as a Decepticon. However, unofficially, other stories have emerged. Stories of the mysterious 'Universal Migrator', who replaced Redfire One in the team.

Once Redfire One had left exitium, he was left with the task of finding a new unit. He bounced from one unit to the next, each one treating him as some form of inferior being, or even as a traitor for what his former team mates had done in defecting. After years of this, his belife in the Decepticon cause had all but waned, he was 'volunteered' into a particularly hopeless mission. It was here he meet
[insert relevant member of your team here] who found him abandoned and close to permanent Stasis Lock. He began to realise during his recovery that he actually felt much more at home with the Autobots than he ever really did with his former masters. Defection though is no easy thing. The Autobot High Command do not truly trust him. After cycles of observation and menial transport mission, they eventully asigned him to the Firestomers, as much as anything else because they were the only Autobot unit who knew him and really trusted him.

Still under constant surveillance by his superiors, Redfire One is now not only still extremely vain, but very paranoid, both of his current comrades, and his former allies, looking to execute him for defection.

(I was thinking, if you want to develop the character you can explore his relationship with the Autobot High Command, and with his former allies. You can also delve into the 'real' reason for his leaving exituim, I left it vague on purpose so I could develop it later, but never got the chance to bring the character back before I decided to change my team. Also, as far as I'm concerned, exitium are not dead, so you are welcome to have them interact with him in fictions.)

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Name: Heavytread
Motto: Everything breaks.
Alt Mode: Heavy tank or walker.
Robot Description: BIG. Again, I don't really think about robot modes unless I attempt to draw em.
Background: Big, strong and stupid.
Heavytread is fresh out of the Autobot academy. And it shows. Although he is a match for most in hand to hand combat, and carries the kind of firepower that can level small cities with ease, he is tactically inept, and more than adept at biting off more than he can chew. He will however carry out any order given by any superior, and is incredibly loyal to the Autobot cause.

(It could be fun to see his loyalty to the Autobots tested, either due to his blind following of orders, or his biting off more than he can chew once too often and suffering permant damage (mental or physical) that effects him badly over the long term.)

Name: Incineration

Alt Mode: Some form of fighting vehicle

Motto: Napalm IS an area support weapon OR If it burns, it means it's working! OR The only good Decepticon is one that lays in a pool at my feet.

Description: Bright red, orange, yellow and black, however you want the scheme to be. Thinking more along the lines of of a scorpion tank body

Bio:

Incineration has been in the war for eons. He is valiant and brave, but short tempered and easily angered.

He is the master of thermal energy, whether it be flames, radiation, anything emitting heat he can manipulate. He enjoys up close and personal battles where he can use his built in napalm flamethrowers and thermal grenades to literally melt through his opponents like a hot knife through butter. Should things come extremely close contact, he will pull out his thermal sword hack away at his opponent, often leaving smoking chunks of metal.

He lives for the excitement of battle and strives to prove his usefulness. Under the titanium-ceramic chassis beats the spark of a robot who is unsure of himself and about his place in the Autobots. Every time he is out on a mission, he thinks of ways to prove himself, often show boating and getting himself into more trouble than he can handle, often causing teammates to become injured. This makes Incineration feel even more of a burden to his team and fuels his temper.

Despite the reassurance of his teammates, he beats himself up. The Decepticons like to taunt him calling him a worthless piece of scrap, bullet sponge, idiot, fembot and others, goading him to face them in combat, which he does. He flies into a rage and fights with the ferocity of a Decepticon but the honor of an Autobot. He refuses to take cheap shots and if a Decepticon pleads for mercy, he will often give it to them and take them prisoner.

Strengths: Superb fighter, incredible sense of honor. Can fire napalm from his forearms a distance of 150 feet and up to a temp of 3000 degrees F. Great hand to hand combat skills with a thermal sword. Titanium-ceramic armor makes him impervious to all thermal attacks. Can launch thermal grenades a distance of 1000 feet and each explode with napalm a distance of 50 feet. Can manipulate any form of thermal radiation with his thermal fields. In tank mode can travel 80 MPH for 650 miles.

Weaknesses: His armor may be impervious to heat, but due to the ceramic in it, it's significantly weaker than usual armor. If the ceramic is chipped, his thermal weaponry may end up damaging him as well. Often when fighting and attempting to manipulate thermal energy, he has to concentrate leaving him open for an attack. His show boating and temper often get him into messes that his cohorts have to clean up. Can be taunted into a trap relatively easily. His sense of mercy has also led him to be deceived by an apparently surrendering decepticon causing him to be wounded while taking a prisoner.

I am dissapoint that this thread is not a general character competition for everyone and not a personal one for one guy. Because I'd so win that just by linking my team page.

But courtesy bump for OP in the hopes that someone that cbf will make you characters. I cbf to write up any now.

Yeah, I just used the same abbreviation for two opposite statements. Context brosephs. Context.

Hmmm.. lets give this a try:

Name: Paintball
Function: Scout, Grafitti artist
Motto: "Take this Society"
Alt Mode: Metallic Spider or Motorbike (anything agile)
Robot Description: Lithe, dextrous, cunning, anarchic (think scrounge from the UK marvel TF comics)
Abilities: Free-running, the ability to run up any surface regardless of pitch; Incredible standard of agility.
Tactics: Avoid, Strafe
Background: A former grafitti artist, prankster and assumed 'terrorist', Paintball is anti-war in everything he (or she) creates, especially if it means climbing to the very top spires of Iacon to deface the giant autobot symbol that marks their fortress with a moustache and sombrero hat.

Rose to notoriety amongst the Autobots for his habit of using his custom-built sniper rifle loaded with non-lethal paint capsules to embarrass commanders (both Autobot and Decepticon alike) in the middle of important speeches, usually interupting them with a mouthful of lime green paint, Pailtball's 'reign of terror' (as Prowl put it) was eventually ended by the Elite Guard when he was caught shaving Steeljaws mane with an anglegrinder whilst he was sleeping, but not before almost three cycles of protracted searching that saw Paintball put his free-running skills to exceptional use, covering his persuers in various colours of paint in the process.

Due to his non-lethal methods of protest and refusal to submit to authority, many of the rank and file autobots were sympathetic to his cause - even referring to him as an urban hero - but to the humourless Autobot command, Prowl especially, he was nothing more than a petty terrorist that undermined the security and legitimacy of the Autobots war effort and must be stopped at all costs. Naturally, this only made him into even more of an folk legend and he was regarded as somewhat of an icon, even within the ranks of the Elite Guard members themselves, eventually allowing him to be offered a place to use his talents for the faction, as opposed to just using them to humiliate Prowl, and as an alternative to being thrown in an Iso-cube for eternity until the security chief finally calmed down.

Reluctantly, he agreed to join the Autobots (nothing to do with the fact that the Decepticons were also out to kill him after he shot Starscream with so much green paint he was mistaken for Acid Storm. In the centre of Kaon. In broad daylight.) Finally, after Prowl had finally stopped screaming at Hotrod for recruiting a terrorist, he was assigned to the Firestormers as a scout and sniper. His hatred of authority hasn't changed at all, and he still torments Prowl - mercilessly - at every possible opportunity, but at least this way he knows that he has mates to back him up in the weekly disciplinary hearings he gets summoned to.

Honestly I did have an idea, for a guy named Pratfall, but Psy's Paintball is full of win, and a better concept all around than the idea i had.

Odd thing was, it began as a clumsy free-running sniper called Faceplant. Weird how these ideas evolve, isnt it?

On that line of thought, I went ahead and rewrote my first post a bit to reflect just that. This should be an open invite for all characters you want to throw out there. The idea is still to give ideas to other players and see your characters grow under someone else's direction, whether Autobot or Decepticon. So I ask those who have posted ideas if it is ok that others may use you creations. If not then make sure you post something saying such, otherwise let the creative juices flow.

Oh if only you could get more team members if you were willing to pay for them....

in other words I have more ideas than spaces available, and no desire to lose any of the current ones for newer ones.

Yep, Silence has got an exploration team, Air strike, military, incepter (speed), a beast team, A covert rescue team cleaning up after the battles, particularly in places where the transformers are not a welcome sight, a similar strike team that specializes in NOT transforming out of their vehicle modes, several Baseformers, and a group referred to as the "Levellers". Lets just say that Flashwave is rather mindful of TF tech in the hands of other species not ready for it yet. I've also gone through a few medics I;d love to have back. Plus a science wing and the homeland defense.
