We've had Tf theme musics threads, we've had bio threads and pics..but has anyone ever wondered this?

I have, so I ask this:

If your characters we're in animated form, who would you cast to voice your team.

Now since this would be your dream team, feel free to choose anyone alive or dead, so Chris Latta fans can use the power of imagination to cast him, for example.

A further challenge, those of you who know their Japanese Seiyuu, also cast the Japanese voices as well.

Example

Edgecrusher: English voice - Bea Arthur. Japanese - Ikue Otani (the voice actress for Pikachu )

Now that i am done bashing a good friend as an example, I would like to also ask you state your reasons for your choice.

:P seriously cool

I am thinking..keeping in mind my NPC's. It's hard trying to figure out a good not braindead sounding frat boyesque voice for Dumper (of Team Amazon).

Decatron--Sean Connery--I'd want someone that sounds like someone that has intellegence and respect, along with some culture.

Nightwatch--Kevin Conroy--Few words, works at night, major badass. Conroy doing Batman would work.

Bloodfang--Hugh Jackman--No real reason, I just think that he'd protray someone that has lost pretty much everything

Aviana--Maria Canials--Character was modeled after my girl, who I consider the real life Hawkgirl (their pretty much exactly the same) Canials reprising the role then would be perfect for Aviana.

Vulhammer--James Earl Jones--Just want a deep educated voice.

Stormcrow--Michael Rosenbaum--I want a somewhat cocky character here that has had something of a life of priveledge.

Widowmaker--Deforest Kelley--Just for humor value. I'm a Medic Nightwatch not a bulldozer...wait I am a bulldozer.

Tyrantus--Mark Hamil--While the mannerisms of his joker character would be ideal for Bloodlust, Mark isn't female so it wouldn't work, but his work as Grundy is perfect for Tyrantus. Brute and pretty stupid, but powerful. Growl alot and say two or three word sentances.

Scantron - Kelsey Grammer - With Sideshow Bob and other roles, Grammer's shown he can play a villainous mastermind. Scantron's also something of a snob and Grammer's made his career on that. However, since Scantron only 'speaks' through telepathy, Grammer's voice would need some digital alterations.

Styx - Ian McKellan - The team's accomplished teacher, brilliant engineer and experienced space explorer needs a voice that conveys both commanding tone and age. Also helps that McKellan's a great actor, whatever he's in.

Jumbotron - Keith David - A big, booming voice for my squad's massive powerhouse.

Sonicatrix - Minnie Driver - I don't know much of Minnie Driver's live-action work, but her performance as Lady Eboshi in Princess Mononoke is exactly the kind of character I'd want to evoke for Sonicatrix; commanding and forceful, yet empathic.

Flashburn - Laurence Fishburne - His protrayal of Morpheus in The Matrix is similar to what I had in mind for my team's genius theoretical scientist and amateur philsopher.

Chillout - Ian James Corlett - Chillout is a much different character than Cheetor (quieter, softer spoken) and has a slightly deeper voice, but he goes through a similar route of development that I think Corlett could portray very well.

Heatstroke - Steven Blum - Doing...well, basically the only character he ever plays. The guy may not have a great range, but his voice would be perfect for the confident, bad-ass warrior Heatstroke.

Brutallica - ????? - I really have no idea who to choose for this role. Brutallica has a loud, deep tone that exudes arrogance whenever she speaks...but I can't think of any female actors or VAs who have enough bass in their voices to do her justice. Suggestions welcome.

Shatterwing - Jerry Jewell - Shatterwing's a complete loon and Jewell's take on Barry the Chopper in FMA is very close to the kind of tone I had in mind, just slightly deeper and a bit less hyper.

Disrepair - Tracy Grandstaff - The voice of Daria in the show of the same name. Disrepair has a dark outlook on life and is sarcastic as hell, but isn't entirely without compassion and I think that voice would fit her perfectly.

Timeframe - Vic Mignogna - A slightly toned-down version of his Edward Elric (FMA) would be perfect for the Secret Society's, somewhat cocky, youngest member.

Laser Scalpel - Noah Wyle - Has experience playing a 'doctor' and has younger sounding voice that would work well for my team's surgical prodigy.

really there are only 3 people who'd do the entire children,

Tammuz - twanged Anthony Hopkins
Aircraft - Various twangings of Peter Sellers as Dr. Strangelove
Land Vehicles - various twangings of Arnold

Of all the Eisen Dragoons, the only two characters I've really thought about who would be perfect to voice them are Archanubis and Northclaw.

Archanubis: Brian Drummond

Northclaw: Ron Perlman

Crueljaw = Micheal Dorn perfect for an angst ridden mech

Magnastar = Harvey Keitel the voice of experience

Iontrail = Dwight Schutlz perfect for a bounty hunter helicopter with a sense of humour

Phaze = Sean Pertwee sarcastic british and a relaxed type of leadership style (see Dog Soldiers)

Dropout = Steve Buscemi the perfect voice for a disillutioned mech

*edit* thought of some more

Sky Lynx = Christian Bale has that aloof voice that could perfectly suit ole high an mighty himself

Blurr = Jim Carrey probably the only person i can think of who can throw out an entire sentence in 10 seconds think ace ventura :P

Mel as Burn. Frightening.

Coming to threatres in 2007, a Burn Gibson production.

THE PASSION OF THE FREAK :P

I think I got some down.

Dynamax: David Hayter. (Guyver 2: Dark Hero) this is the guy who voiced Solid Snake, but Snakes voice would fit an older Dynamax. I heard his normal talking voice in the movie mentioned, sound younger but rough enough to sound like my boy.

Datamatrix: Jeff Anderson (Clerks) Randall Graves, the rude, smartass clerk who ran RTS Video. While Data's not lewd like the character of Randall, the basic attitude fits Data to a T.

The following are Data's casettes.

Syntax: Mark Hammil (Batman: The animated series) An insane yet somewhat sadistic condor who is driven mad when an autobot anti spy device infected him with a virus that mutated and change him. Picture Mark Hammil now, yelling at a light fixture saying how it's conspiring to kill him with Joker's voice. Pirceless.

Megabyte: Tony Jay (Reboot) obvious homage to the late great voice actor. Megabyte is the #2 con, a stealthy spy and tracker. A guy like that needs a voice as kickass as Tony's was and always will be.

Gigabyte: Keith David (Spawn: The animated series) The voice also of Goliath from Gargoyles. I remembered the scene in the Spawn cartoon after Spawn thrashed Overt-Kill and delivered his beated husk to Tony Twist. That badass attitude he showed there was perfect for my wild and brawny rhino.

Kilobyte: Tim Curry (pulls out mile long acting list) A vain, elitist coward who refuses to fight as it would mar his image, plus an expert tor...interrogator. I always heard my vainglorious bat yelling about not wanting to risk his perfect looks by being clipped by crossfire as Curry right from the start.

ROM: Brent Spiner (Star Trek: TNG) The #1 Casette and Data assistant. Think Lore and you got ROM. Though ROM is less intense and sadistic, he can be a mean bastard when he wants to.

RAM: I found it hard to try to give him a voice since...he hasn't spoken a word ever. He has developing personality circuit that rarely allwo him to act on his own, and that's usually in the heat of battle to save one of his own. Since rAm is a kid essentially when compaired to the others I thought long and hard on this since making RAM and finally just an hour ago made a decision. The voice of FMA's Alphonse Elric (Aarin Dismuke)

Cut: Cheech (Cheech and Chong) Data wanted to add some ethnicity to his team when he made Cut and Paste. He finally decided on giving them Mexican acents. Since Data is a big movie buff he chose 2 different people for them. The brash and threatening Cut was perfect for Cheech. "Back off man, or I'm gonna cut you up."

Paste: John Leguizamo (The pest) He portrayed a brain dead idiot in that movie. Paste is the braindead casette of the team, so it works out.

I'm still wracking my brain on the others, more posts will come.

Just going by my alpha team since the rest of the line-up changes...

Stormmaster - Toby Keith or Michael Chiklas (They've both got the same kind of attitude Stormmaster does, or at least can portray it well.) Or Bruce Boxleitner (Heh, Stormmaster WOULD give Sheridan's kind of apology....)

Athena - Pauline Newstone (voice of Airazor on Beast Wars, and it ties in with the character's future....)

Overload - Ward Perry (Rowen on Ronin Warriors) or Scott McNeil (duh.), for some reason I hear Overload having a Brooklynish accent...

Kobushi - Justin Cook (Yusuke Urameshi on Yu Yu Hakusho, one of my favorite anime, and Kobushi's got about the same attitude)

Blastzone - Jim Byrnes (Inferno's voice from Beast Wars, and since technically Blastzone IS Inferno....)

Lasermags - Kim Strauss (Ultra Magnus in RiD... Even though Laser Ultra Magnus is based off the G1 version, I like Strauss better)

All I could think of for now...

Raider:
Voice Actor: Kristian Ayre (The same guy that did Ryura from Inuyasha the Movie 4. Listen here to the character who shows up from about 0:41 to 2:40...) Just try and picture him not sounding as cold and evil, well... unless he's pissed... Otherwise he's supposed to sound very gentle and almost soft-spoken.

Seiyuu: Kosuke Toriumi (V/A of Hotshot in Superlink), or Nobutoshi Kanna (aka Superlink Inferno, both of which you can hear in this clip...)

Wildstrike:
Voice Actor: Sam Vincent (aka Armada Sideswipe... but maybe a little more mature. Example, @ 0:05 & 2:46 for those that never saw Armada/Cybertron and have no clue who he is. XP) Strike was originally A. Sideswipe who went through a radical upgrade, but I've since started to try and rework his bio to make him a stand-alone character... but the voice stuck. Wildstrike's also just about as USELESS as Sideswipe was in the show, so it all works out. XD

Seiyuu: Makoto Yasumura (Superlink Prowl/Red Alert, who you can also hear in that Japanese SL clip I mentioned above)

Stormflash:
Voice Actor: John Burgmeier (Shigure Sohma in Fruits Basket. Example-ness. ... Shigure's the dog, and the guy with the dark hair after he Transforms back) I just finally started watching Fruits Basket, and I gotta say the second I heard Shigure I thought of Storm. For the most part he sounds calm and collected with that hint of friendliness.

Seiyuu: Jury's still out on that one. XP

and

Aurora:
Voice Actor: Samantha Ferris (Gundam Wing's Sally Po in the SECOND half of the series and in Endless Waltz. Example here from around 05:00, Sally's the gal with the two braids.) I'd always pictured Aurora with a deeper, more serious voice instead of something high and/or squeaky.

Seiyuu: ... none at the moment. @_@

Thinking up VA's for the rest o' my fembots is gonna be difficult, TBH. I'm celebrity-challenged and I don't necessarily care much for a lot of the female Voice Actors circulating about today. >>;

Air Convoy-Amy Allen 'cause she kinda sounds like Aayla
Night Convoy-Guy who voiced Chinese Thundercracker (they only list voice actor names in those credits, so I don't know who's who)
Sith Convoy-whoever voiced Kikiyou in the Inu Yasha dub
Wind Convoy-Scott McNeil
Water Convoy-doesn't talk
Your Convoy-Chibi Omega Kawaii Cloud creator

Jesus Prime - Michael Biehn, or Kurt Russel
King In Yellow - Ben Shenkman
Manhatten Project - Lance Henrikson
Bitchkrieg - Sigourney Weaver? I dunno.
Shadow Moses - Peter Falk
The Legion - Andrew Miller, but played three or four times like several people were talking at once

A few more..

Megatron: Frank Welker (duhhh :P ) My guy is G1 Megs so he's the only one to fit the bill.

Dreadknight: John Rhys-Davies (Lord of The Rings) If Gimli was a womanizer and a swordsman, he'd be the fleshling equivalent of Dreadknight. He is Dynamax's loyal and trusted friend and protector. The voice of age and wisdom on the battlefield.

Squire: Chris Barrie (Red Dwarf) Old Arnold J. Rimmer himself. Dreadknight minicon apprentace needs to have that english tone of voice himself, yet be able to sound comical. It was a toss up between chris and Eric Idle, and since Eric was Wreck-Garr I gave it to ol' Ace Rimmer.

Dynabreaker: Eliza Dushku (Buffy the Vampire slayer) Hopefully TS'll agree. I just think the savagery she had Faith portray fits Dynabreaker well.

Illumina: Julie Benz (Buffy as well) Dynamax's late wife. i think her voice would seem perfect for Illumina. I can't really explain why, it just fits.

Ultimax: David Kaye (Transformers) Not really creative, more of a homage to the 2nd man to call himself Megatron.

Supremax: Cam Clarke (Metal Gear Solid) An homage to Metal Gear, Dynamax's dead evil twin. Since Dyna's VA is Solid Snake's, why not make his evil twin Snake's evil twin Liquid Snake?

To add one that just occurred to me...

KitBASH - Richard Dean Anderson, since RDA played MacGyver and KitBASH is supposed to be a MacGyver-like character (hence the duct tape joke in his bio. :P ).

A couple more:

Amy Jo Johnson for Stratosphera. It think that actress could be a good choice to play a ruthless, patient sniper.

Joss Ackland for Darkwylde. I see Darkwylde and Wingshadow speaking in a Russian accent, and this actor pulled it off very well in Red October. Don't know who'd be good for Wingshadow, though.
