While the prospect of 100K is chump change to some of us, I am hoping it may spur at least a bit of interest from some of the newer players, and maybe increase HMW chat a bit.

The rule is simple, I want to see creative team concepts. Not the ones you are using (while that could be good for lulz and increase your chances) just concepts for a minimum 6 to maximum 12 member team.

Specifically, I want to see the best cohesive team bio built on a truly horrible concept. Ideas like every member is based on.....:
-- cars involved in a celebrity death.
-- horrendous plane accidents. (accidents, not terrorism, that's a different concept)
-- baseformers affected by the mortgage crisis.
-- vehicles from Nic Cage movies.
-- based on a Bruce Springsteen song.
-- Disney Label Princess edition.

You hopefully get the point. While this is open to everyone (with a currently active, or starting a team while the submission period is open) Mod help will be required to transfer the winnings to an Autobot player. Either that or if an 'bot player wants to match me, we can expand the contest to a winner per faction. Naked Magnus (aka RoS) has stepped up for the Bots, there will now be one winner per faction.

Simply submit your entry in this thread. It must include the following:
Team Name & Bio
Member Names, alt modes & at least basic personal bios.

I am starting this contest right now, with a planned submission end date of Tuesday, March 15th, 2011.

Disclaimers: One entry per person, however feel free to edit your submission up until the end date. While I have committed 100K for the winner, I want to see at least 5 entries for that prize to qualify. For every lack of participation under 5 entries I am deducting 20K from the pot. So if it's a single entry the prize will only be (20K, 2=40K, 3=60K, 4=80K) Depending on how successful this is, I may increase or add secondary prizes, or request Mod support for other incentives.

So come up with despicable ideas, and try using this as a reason to convince others to start or restart playing HMW and have them submit their ideas too. But lets see if we can drum up a bit more activity in this section of the forums.

Hey Ed, would you like the theme included as well?

I would have considered that to be in the Bio, but you should feel free to include anything that you think helps solidify your idea into a more rounded entry.

Death by household appliance (DBHA)

A team specially formed to annoy, maim and kill people in their own home.

Name:Spin-cykill
Alt mode: 1600 spin washing machine
Bio: spin-cykill came online through the All sparks fragment that sam had dropped out of this shirt at the same time as his brother Tumble die-r and like him he decided to not go on the rampage like the other All spark creations, but let his washing cycle finish first, there nothing he hates more than unclean laundry not even Autobots. This allowed both him and tumble die-r to escape bumblebees destruction of this brethren and both have vowed vengeance.

strengths: In his alt mode of a 1600 spin washing machine Spin-cykill has the ability to heat water to 90 C and then leak this all over the floor along with detergent, creating lots of foam and bubbles. This can cause untold misery for his current owners. In doing this he can sometime find himself in the back yard or worse still find himself heading for the scrap yard, as his owners get rid of him and go purchase a new washer. He also shares the ability to make socks disappear with his brother Tumble die-r. In robot mode can fire streams of hot water powerful enough to force most bots off their feet

weakness: Spin-cykill can become clogged up with limescale and his heating element stops working if exposed to to much hard water, but he can get round this with a good run through with calgon.



Name:Tumble Die-r
Alt mode: tumble drier
Bio: Created at the same time as his brother Spin-cykill, and like his brother was in the middle of a drying cycle and hates nothing more than wet clothes not even Autobots. He is very loyal to his brother and if it looks like Spin-cykill is getting thrown out due to leaking everywhere he will over load his heating element and catch on fire so he can get thrown out too.

Strengths: In alt mode apart from the shared power of make socks disappear, Tumble Die-r only power beyond drying clothes is to overload his heating element and catch fire. In robot mode and a similar way to his brother he is able to create blast of hot air that can upturn even the largest and heaviest bots

Weakness: After being on fire his heating element can take a long time to self repair which has an effect on his ability to produce strong winds. has been known to blow himself away if he is not anchored down correctly.

So, I've been thinking about this and I realised, what could be more horrid than musicals?
As a result my ideas will be ripped straight from musicals, such as:

Cut Throat, Unicronian Barber of Kaon Cliffs (Sweeney Todd)

Rusty (Singin' In The Rain)

Hell, Burn. Even if I excluded you, I'd still want to see a submission anyways as the main concept should be right up your alley.

me grimlock did have the blue screen of death but seriously? Computer jokes for robots? Think a bit more outside the box.

Natural disasters or diseases also seem like good topics as well as anything that can include a Ford Pinto.
