Random Number Generator (RNG) Gripe

Yeah.. I hate it some days

6 Minutes of nothing
Really wish my theory of a single RNG was wrong some days.

Even though having 1/3rd less of the team in this one, the RNG seemed to fail to trigger over to allow for any attacks from the other side. I know this happens to both sides, but I get so irked when I see this on either side.

/end rant

I guess the virgin sacrifices were low on both sides that day, we're going to have to step it up a notch.

Of course, virgins are extremely hard to find this day and age.....

Not really.. Just hang a sign that says "3 months of WoW for Free" outside of your window.. sure you will be able to get some that way.

My issue was with what I assume is a poor cleanup function for the RNG routine. If not properly purged from memory on exit then the variable receiving the RNG will keep the same number pretty much pulling the same or similar result depending on if the formula uses multiple RNG or single with a recursive call.

Yeah, what you said to me makes no sense.

Fellows like me don't take to kindly to dem dare intellectual computational talk..... :P

However, if I wasn't on duty, I would hang that sign out of my house in a heartbeat to help my team win some matches.

Well, since I'm an HM, I can go both ways ;)

I'm at a hospital right now, but was stationed with the Marines prior to this.

Rock on man. One of my closest friends was an HM, I don't envy that position a bit. Couldn't deal with all of the "Doc, I got this problem..." talks he use to have, especially when he was stationed over in SE Asia.

Tell me about it, doing sick call with the Marines was always entertaining.....

I'm OR Tech now, so I scrub a lot of surgical cases, those are fun, but I'm hoping it's a quiet, weekend duty, especially since most of our patients left Japan.
