So with my recent hard drive loss, and Sustain having data issues yesterday it started me thinking. Would anyone like to have / share their data collection devices?

I am willing to build any excel / access / sql data capture device and share it. This includes formulas, scripts and such.

I figure if we all started using similar means of capture we can gather data more often. If you are interested tell me what type of data you would like to capture and I can see if I can build it. This way anyone ever has a hard drive stolen, lost, crashed, etc. We have a copy of the base structure to get you back on your feet.

If anyone has any other ideas or suggestions please feel free to throw it at me.

I have a few requests which ill pass on to you later, but do be careful about mentioning scripts and the like here, the powers that be here can get a bit jumpy - we may know you are on the level (even if you are an Autobot) but they wont.

The S-word generally speaking isn't permitted due to assholes using them to run their team in the long-dark-and-distant past, however they have been permitted at the discretion of the staff when they have been for data collection or similar.

Can you PM me with what you have planned? Although from what you have said above I don't believe there will be a problem, I think this is a great idea!

Why not an email pool? Those that have them can send them once a week to the others who are involved. And it would also have a copy in your out box.
