So, I've had this idea stored up for a while now and thought id finally release it...

A new type of alt hunt.

What do you think?

There are buttloads of alts out there to chose from, is 20 points a good/bad number? Are the rules fair? Have I explained it well enough? Are there any alts on the opposing team that are worth the effort?

Sound off here please guys, the more feedback the better as Id like to see this ongoing for as long as people want it.

Pretty fair rules to me. Too bad the bots have nothing I care about.

Really? I've already stolen 2 of them (Toaster and Rabbit) and plan to hunt me a Prime clone and a Hardhead

Well I will say that I love the idea and would like to participate in it, however I honestly there isn't anything I really like for the alt forms. Would you mind if I just ran and if Botomb or Alpha Sentinel compete I donate the winnings to them?

the only bot ones that i kinda like the look of are the sabertooth, the tentacle puma fuzor (its a friggen displacer beast!), and ecto-1

but i probably wont go for one. altho i should for flamewar (stolen bot alt-mode is in her bio)

also Psych; the cybertronian pickup truck in the con listings says "pick up truck" twice

That's what I'm hoping for, with over 500 alts on each side there will probably be someone out there who will think "I want one of those". The bots have the Displacer beast, the cons got all the tie fighters... Even if only a few people take this game up it should be a bit of fun.

At the very least it should be a good way to rub a rivals face in your ability to kick their ass, defeat them so many times that you can wear their t as a trophy

As for donating alts, I don't see why not. Kinda defeats the object of hunting your enemy though lol

Well as it is right now, I honestly just enjoy the hunt. My Trophy case is filled with who I want it to be filled with. Right now I have set my eyes on some people that I have started seeing in the 4-6 range that have builds that seem to constantly fire off just the right way. Now my job is just to best them a dozen times each consecutively before I move on.

alright I want to go after the mammoth and VTOL and there are 5 and 3 bots using them and none are active. I need a tough land animal and helicopter to hunt down.

Lol, knew this would come up sooner rather than later.

Give me a short while and I'll see what we come up wirh...

Hey Rolltide, you and i are around the same levels for the most part. I think I have one of the best looking helicopter alt modes. I am more than willing than to meet you in a mission.

Looking at your rules it's a little confusing you state

"you may bring us the heads of 20 similar members of its alt class" which I take as kill any 20 helicopters and then follow that up with
".e of you want an alt but no one is using it, ask the Senate and we will allow you to collect another in its stead." which I take as the senate picks one helicopter alt to go after

If it's one alt only then I'll go after since _Anshin_ offered his up for sacrifice

If it's any helicopter alt then I'll still have Seraphim's head on a stake

But as for the Land Animals...
I'm going to throw that open and let you hunt any that you can find. Seems like they are rare species.

It should be that we pick an alt for you to hunt for, but that may backfire in that some classes may be completely empty. So ill update the rules to say you need to collect 20 of the same alt class as the ones you want instead of having one nominated. (Less work for us too - Yay!)

and iv always wanted the dragonzord alt for Zordimus maximus

going to do a bit research to see who has the dragonzord alt and come back with a possible alternative

I believe i could help you with that challenge, i have 3 with that alt(2 level 3's and a level 1). So be on the look out for them, i'll try to get those 3 as active as possible. But good luck with the two brothers(Ryche and Fanga).


Oh forgot to add this question. I know it says we can hunt the alt for it if we have a strong backstory for the character, what about if it was an alt we requested way back in the alt thread?

I've yet to actually sit and completely go through both lists to see if any i requested were in there, but thought i would throw this out in general in case it applied to anyone else who may wanna ask it.

We can only supply alts on the existing faction lists and

The ones requested in the Phasewing thread wont ever make it into the game unless we get a programmer.

I believe some from the thread made it into the game from way back when, shockingly, we actually had a programmer. like the batch when the guitars and toasters made it in and i believe some of the pokemon ones. I'm going through right now just to double check though.
