Chapter 1: The Departure from Charr

Quietly the six Decepticon Generals stroll through the tunnels leading to a chamber where they have been summoned. Around them in the dark the sounds of Soundwave's minicons can be heard scuttling, at least the ones that want to be heard. None of the Generals speak, although all of them have similar thoughts running through each of their processors. Why has Galvatron called them from the front lines and why are the others here. One by one they emerge from separate tunnels as they reach the "Audience room". Burn is the first to arrive, much to his dismay. As he steps up out of the tunnel and onto a pressure plate a light flickers above his head causing the airlock to seal shut behind. Next comes Phaze, followed by Wrath and Icon Jade, each triggering their pressure plate and sealing the tunnels behind them. As the room slowly lights with each arrival they notice the weapons turrets pointed at each of them. Finally Potentate and Name_Violation arrive. As with his usual grandiose manner, Name_Violation jumps onto his plate; arms extended in the air as if some invisible crowd is cheering him on. The sound he makes doing so echos through the chamber. He knows about the turrets already, but figures if Galvatron wants him dead he is going to die with style. All Six generals, each feared by Autobot and Decepticon alike now stand in a half circle around a dais, each bathed in the same red light. The other half of the room bathed in an impossible darkness as if the light itself feared to touch it.

"I have gathered each of you here today because of your unique skills and your bravery. Long ago the Decepticons ruled this galaxy, and we shall again" boomed a voice from the other side of the room. Two purple eyes gaze from the darkness as all of the Decepticons immediately turn their attention to the speaker.

"I have summoned you here because you are some of my finest Generals. My sweeps have reported back that the Autobots are on the move. Apparently Ultra Magnus has decided to train a few Autobots near the asteroids of Antilla. These are some of the strongest of the Autobot forces right now. Taking them out would be a huge blow to their ranks. However, the sweeps have also detected strange energy sources coming from Antilla itself. The energy readings are unlike any we have ever encountered. Shockwave believes at least two of the readings to be that of weapons from the 13th legion, the others he believes to be plasma chambers. If that is true we would be able to make enough Energon to wipe out all Autobots and reclaim what is rightfully mine, Cybertron!"

Galvatron's words echo off the walls like mortar fire. Even the stoic Wrath can feel the energon in his circuits flare up in anticipation.

"So what do you want Galvatron?" ask Phaze. "Do you want us to destroy some worthless Autobots or go on a treasure hunt for you? Either which way it seems like we are wasting energon standing here or going on another fool's errand for you."

Galvatron's particle accelerator cannon roared cutting Phaze's next words off causing the battle hardened warrior to flinch slightly as the blast roared past him just missing his head.

"You speak out turn Phaze. Don't think that your value to me is so great that I will let this insolence slide again. No, I want you to do both. All of you. If we just go to Antilla the Autobots will get suspicious and investigate the planet and I can not risk having them discover what ever those energy sources are before we do. However if you destroy them then they won't have a chance to discover those energy signatures will they? Besides Magnus is no fool. By the time you get there he will have noticed at least one of those energy signatures and set out to find out what they are. Right now I have Soundwave jamming communications from around the area, but I need you six to stop them."

From out of the darkness two drones walk in each holding up one side of a very large table. As they enter they place the table near Galvatron and scurry back into the shadows. Walking around the table Galvatron starts to speak once more his hands grasping a soft black cloth that is now seen covering the table.

"However I wouldn't dream of making you use your precious Energon up. Each of you take 12 of your best soldiers with you and head out. The first to bring me Magnus's head gets this as his reward". Finishing his statement Galvatron pulls back the sheet to reveal a months supply of Energon.

"Fail me however and I will have your sparks torn out and given to Shockwave for his next experiment."

Slowly the Decepticon leader starts to walk back to the darkness before pausing a second.
"One other thing. The Autobots you will be fighting are Absolute Zero, Vic, Crossblades, All Darker
, and the Rage Bot. From what Soundwave has picked up from their transmissions, it seems that some of them have gone mad, proclaiming that they are the next Autobot Savior. As if any of them could be the next Prime. Still you will have your work cut out for you. Word is that the mercenary Bristleback has been spotted near there. I would suggest you recruit him."

As Galvatron leaves the room the six Generals glance at each other. Slowly the airlocks open to reveal a minicon with mission information and recon for the training grounds where the Autobots are practicing unaware of the pending attack.

.... End story ...

Game:
(Cons Vote and Control this round).

You have 2 methods of attack
You may only dispatch 6 cons to attack the Autobots who are training on the Moon side facing away from ntilla. Your attacking positions are
* The Asteroid Belt on the outside that surrounds Antilla
* Approach from the sun

Declare your attack position and 6 cons that you will use. By Thursday October 13th:
You will have until Tuesday October 18th to Stasis lock 3 of each of the Autobots (If the bot is not playing for one reason or another you may substitute one of my bots in.) Failure to achieve this goal will result in Autobots controlling the next round

Autobots can defend by stasis locking 5 of 6 of each of the listed cons. Doing so unlocks a new branch for your story line. My kills can not be counted unless 2 of your 5 generals stop playing.

Again I thank you for playing and want remind you that I am not a writer, so go easy on the hack job I have of developing a story to set up the game.

I've seen worse from Dirtbag

Though I did have mental flashbacks to the old days (sit down N_V) where these stories would basically entail Psychout giving a speech and Gore sitting there giving him the finger. Image

So for now we just list six of our bots?

Well, color me entertained! I like the writing, and the premises seem accordingly interesting. One tip: make sure you make a clear contrast between Players (Generals) and their Team Characters, when talking about the 'Bots and 'Cons.
And questions about stasis locking: 1. does it have to be a Team Character from one of the participating Players/Generals who does the stasis locking? And 2. Do the participators record stasis locks themselves, or are you doing all the data scraping work?

Looks like he's been reading my character's bios lol

Btw wouldn't it be easier if we just stuck our characters into the 1-11 matches they'd have a more even chance of finding each other?

Sorry, I guess I should have gone into more detail.
I will always refer to the human element of the game as the Generals. Sorry its a military thing for me. I know some of you have your bots/cons named after yourself (Alldarker for example). So if AD picks his bot AD to represent him in a fight I will list the results in a similar fashion to the XP Games. None of the story lines that I can remember writing or becoming involved have anything where AD would be talking to his troop AD or having NV talking to both of them.

Now answering the questions in the order they were asked:

Burn: Yes, you pick 6 of your cons. These are the ones that will be watched and counted as your active players. If for example the game was to stasis lock me and you didn't pick Gore but Gore locked one of my characters it won't count. So pick wisely. Also do not forget to mention which path you are attacking from.... Your force will all be attacking from the same direction.

AllDarker: I will do my best to give a clear distinction between player and bot/con. As for your question:
1.) It has to be one of the players in the game taking out another player. Me taking out Icon Jade won't count for the Bot side unless its part of the game's dynamics. Likewise, Sustain killing Vic does not count for the Cons side ever unless she makes a special guest appearance.

2.) I would love to do the data scraping for you guys, but unfortunately I do not have direct access to the database. This leaves me to do it manually and my time has been very limited playing as of late due to work, so I will be honest that while I will be gleaming your characters to assist where I can, I may not be able to pick everything up. Basically it will be sporadic and only the last six battles at the time I start reviewing. If you want to, I will make a deal with you guys. Create a post in this thread and dump all of your character's fight links into the thread if you don't want to review them yourself. I will write a crawl and go through the threads and do a one to one comparison. For the most accurate responses though you guys may want to do it yourself. Just let me know and I will be glad to help where I can. I would rather do the work and let you guys have the fun.

Phaze: Ideally just the Hell (1-11) missions will work great, but due to play time and availability of the Hell missions we can not limit the game play to just those missions. Granted hanging out in Fraud or Heresy may punish some of the game play. IE Vic would never be able to attack a con that did that, but likewise if that is all that is available at deployment time we can't punish the con either. As the game progresses (Chapters 4 on up) I will have gathered enough data about play time and overlaps to alter the game on the fly to actually use different missions to advantages. For example, you may have to kill my character Darq to stop me and win the round for the cons and I have to avoid being killed by you which would stop the cons from controlling the next chapter, but in doing so I may end up putting myself into stasis for that chapter or worse loosing three of my troops from being used for the rest of the game.
That particular scenario is not written in, but similar scenarios do plan to show up like that.

Bristleback: Writing you into a merc role was the only way I could make your unpredictable play time work for both of us without penalizing anybody. Hope you didn't take offense to that.

Well the Cons are off to a great start. Looks like the bots are in trouble.
Stay tune to tomorrow as the rest of the story will be told and the games will start.
