I just had something strange happen last night. I had a popup about SOPA (which was defeated a month ago, IIRC). After which all my bots were apparently needing to wait about... 35,063 hours before reactivation. And I couldn't even send a message to this forum, or a private message to anyone, because "You cannot make another post so soon after your last." It's better now, it seems, but... what happened?

The site's server farm lost 4 years and decided it was 2008 about 4am yank time so we had to wait for Ryan to wake up before he could fix it. Much of the site is published bnased on the date and so when the date changed a whole load of weird **** happened, like the news etc. defaulting to 4 years ago and the SOPA blackout page (which unfortunately hasn't been completely defeated, only renamed as H.R. 1981) reactivated as it was designed to switch off on 19th Feb 2012, which according to the servers was a few years off yet.

As far as I can tell, we lost roughly 3 hours of missions (sorry!), but everything else should be back to normal now, but please drop us a line if things aren't sorted.

Almost my whole team (except for one member) was affected... Half of them looked like they were in 4 year long missions, and five more would have to wait exactly 4 years to get out of the CR chamber
It was sort of frustrating, but on the other hand, I was in a long meeting this morning (EU time) which would have made it slightly awkward to keep checking my phone and dumping my guys in the missions anyway.

I guess I was a lucky one then.

Before leaving for work I decided to upgrade the armour on 7 of my guys including Plaque Bringer.

Plague Bringer is now having 10 tons of Nucleon Tempered Steel armor installed at a cost of €100,000. Upgrades will be complete in 15:50:00. You have €1,889,907 remaining.

Less than 2 hours later I was able to put him in a mission with his new armour fully installed.

I had one like that, I looked at the time and decided "that's a lot of bloody numbers!" ... and promptly decided to go to bed after a short e-mail exchange with some of the other stuff where it was decided to just text Ryan and let him sleep.
