Weapons bugs

I can't get the weapons to assign to the charater that I want FP/SK are all what they need to be but the character just won't accept a weapon.

Any ideas?

Was the character 'despawned' in the big glitch last week? That's messed with the weapons on a lot of the newer characters.

Yep, PM Omega Sentinel about it, he ought to be able to patch you up right quick.

Reseting your bot will also fix that!

I have the same problem with several of my autobots. I's frustrating. HELP!

I have the same problem with several of my autobots. I's frustrating. HELP!


A) Are their stats still where they need to be to use the weapons you want to equip?

If yes...

B) Are they displaying as currently being unarmed?

If yes...

C) In their mission logs, have they been using weapons anyway, even though their profile page says they are unarmed?

If yes...

D) You're best option may be to try resetting one of them and seeing if that helps. Preferrably experiment on one with an altmode you can regain. If you don't want to do that, or it doesn't work, you'll have to pm OS, but be aware, he won't be back until the second week of July.


Edit: There may be an alternative -

LOOK HERE FOR ANSWERS.

Well this is stupied...it's a bug...just fix the bug...we players shouldn't have to do special tricks that maybe work???

Unfortunately it's tied in to when we lost several months of data recently. I'm sure that if OS could just wave a wand and fix it for everyone, he would have. It appears that this is a bug that needs to be fixed on a case-by-case basis.

game lower. Maybe OS should reprogram some functions

The games broken at the moment anyway, from what I've heard it's never quite worked properly but it's getting wiped and re-programmed very soon which should, after a "bedding in" period, be much more stable.

And that'd be why Supercollider couldn't find your team. When you change your name on the boards it doesn't automatically update the commander name in the game.

Cant see what your problem is.
3 out of your 5 have guns, and one of them has a gun that has an FP req of 2 thats stuck there from the oops.

If giving the other 2 guns is a problem, your probably trying to equip a weapon that has a higer FP requirement than you have available.

Try putting more points in rank, that always helps.

And intelligence. You need lots of rank and intelligence to get Autobots working properly.

Essentially, 4 years ago Seibertron released the Beta version of HMW (i.e. v1.0).

No one wanted to lose their progress though, so the Beta never got scrapped for a better version. Instead, volunteers like Glyph and OS put in a great deal of time patching v1.0.

Soon, OS will finally shutdown v1.0 and launch v2.0. I'm sure it will have its share of glitches, but overall it should run more smoothly than the original.

Well M-ONE that is definately a weird problem you're having there.

Firstly, you joined after the Whoops (whoops was around the 12-Jun-07 and you joined 16-Jun-07) so this doesn't appear to be whoops related.

Also like Psychout stated Hot Spyder is equipped with a Turret Mounted Gun, which is 2FRP to equip and she hasn't got 2FRP so if you know how you managed that there'll be a lot of players wanting to know how to see it they can do it too!

I take it you have tried resetting your affected characters and that hasn't worked? I particularly ask because the database got confused after the whoops and it effectively left 'ghosts' of weapons and some accounts ended up 'ghosting' others. The act of resetting the character can sometimes act like switching a computer off then back on and all you lose is armour and a little time playing while you re-setup your bots.

Anyway you should now have plenty of energon to play with as well. :wink:

Sadly the best thing then is going to be to PM Omega Sentinel: http://www.seibertron.com/members/profile.php?id=16019 and hopefully he'll be able to fix it when he returns from Botcon.

As an Autobot you'll also find Decepticons may give you "advice" about Rank and Intelligence. You'll find there's a Help Guide that explains just how useful they aren't. It's here:

God morning!

Been going over my team this morning and trying out some things you guys said.

I'm hoping that it will work now. I did try to reset
some of my autobots and make new upgrades.

When it comes to the Turrent Mounted Gun I was able to buy it last week I think, and I just assigned it to Hot Spyder because I could. Looks like a bug...although positive for me.

He probably unequipped the P.E.R. after the mission had finished.

That's the only thing I can come up with.

He was in the cr chamber
and doesn't have the xp to equip with that weapon.
