Intelligence is a hidden skill unlock for some forms. For example, the battle station uses intelligence and skill to unlock the repair ability.

Look into the alt form you want to see if it requires the skill as not all forms use INT. In fact a tank alt form has no need for INT except if you want to push into the level 11 ranking.

The way I understand it, it's a feeder for the repair tactic as well.
Intel boosts the effects of a repairer (+endurance of the repaired bot) to give more points back to the repaired, giving your repair bot more XP.

thats pretty much it covered in a nutshell in those two posts thou i don't agree with anshin's about tank builds not needing it i've found some benefits of having it which is most unexpected and requires further looking at >:oP

If you read the description it was suppose to be a secondary trait.

Here is the description of what it is suppose to do:

"Intelligence: Learn certain tactics. Choose targets in combat who have high strength, high courage, high firepower, low endurance, (to a smaller extent) high skill, rank and intelligence, and (to an even smaller extent) low speed."

Although to my understanding this was never fully utilized. As for the Tank build. I have run 1000+ missions with Darq now since upgrading him from 9 to 10 and adding 4 intelligence. It has not changed the frequency of who he attacks, what he attacks (level or certain types), or even the frequency of his attacks with a weapon or tactics. The only thing that has ever made a difference for me is what the final point is put into.

But those words are in italics and may never be implemented and it says so.

Intel has a lot of potential, Burn mentioned it as a 3rd stat for weapons, I don't hate that idea.
Sadly, the time I've spent playing I've realized that anytime the game is made better with implementing anything new, things seems to screw code up and the game starts acting wonky and crashes.
The Quint missions, mini-cons and Kremzeek( :KREMZEEK: I can't tell you how badly I want Kremzeek back) were all fun, but those were all ditched for some reason.
"Knocks on wood" I'm just happy they don't turn the game off during Botcon anymore.
