Howdy fellow Seibertronians and welcome to the Transformers Photo Challenge. This is a monthly Seibertron.com feature hosted by yours truly. Each challenge will have a theme and a description of any guidelines that need to be followed. To participate; setup some figures, snap a few pictures and post the images in the discussion below. The Transformers Photo Challenge is for all skill levels and is just about having fun. Previous challenges can be found here.

Image

If you spend enough time on the boards, sooner or later a discussion about scale is bound to erupt.

Image

Titan Returns is just around the corner and there has been much debate about the size classes used. Instead of talking about scale, show us your ideal group/team/pair of "scaled" figures. Feel free to mix-and-match as many different lines and size classes as needed.

Image

Setup your bots and show us what you got!

Remember to keep your browsers pointed to Seibertron.com for the latest Transformer news, the largest Transformers galleries and the most Transformers fun you can have this side of a space bridge.

I guess this match Metroplex better than the actual sizes on the market. Just IMO

Metroplex and Trypticon.

What mayhem will ensue when Titan Trypticon is unleashed?

This is my first photo challenge I have done so please bear with me. I took a bunch of toys I felt scaled well together, took some rocks, went out to the concrete patio, and snapped some shots. This was my favorite one so I photo-shopped it a bit and I like it. I hope you like it too! ;)^

I'm a huge scale nut, particularly with real-world vehicle sizes, so forgive me for gushing a bit a lot:

the same battle looking from the other direction, a look at the rest of the combiner that's part way though assembling.

I frickin' love that Leader Starscream. I neeeed it.

And yeah Deluxe Optimus Prime isn't much smaller in robot mode than Voyager Megatron there. His truck mode even looks bigger scale.

I'm a bit of a stickler for scale too but I guess it's really just one of those things you have to accept being almost impossible to achieve to any great success in Transformers.

I've always been a bit of a scale nut - I like to display my toys where there's a reasonable level of alt mode size correlation: tanks and trucks bigger than cars, planes and jets bigger than trucks. (Which does lead to Swerve being bigger than Prowl - he is a truck after all!) Here's my current CHUG display shelf.

Image

I even try to put combiners together like this - my CW Superion towers over my custom PCC Menasor. But then you get combiners with limbs that aren't in scale with each other and it's a real headache... I can kind of accept FP Bruticus if Blastoff is a drone plane and Swindle is a super-sized Hummer, but I can't find any version of Defensor that makes sense!

Hey, they've grown!

Image

I like the way leader class TCracker looks with MP Starscream. He is a little bit bigger and of a different sculpt. To me Starscream's cronies are just big violent thugs that he keeps around so he doesn't have to do any of the fighting himself.

They do look good together! Especially with that RTS Megatron ;)^

I don't have enough Transformers to do a proper scale picture but here's an obvious one I can do.

Image
Using Legends movie Ravage as main movie Ravage over the oversized Deluxe version. Deluxe DotM Bumblebee demonstrates. (works for Legends movie Scorponok too but I've never managed to get me one). The soldiers that came with the other Legends Ravage are nicely scaled for most Transformers too.

My OCD is annoyed by the fact that Bumblebee's chest pieces got misaligned when I put Ravage there. They need to be SYMMETRICAAAALLL!

edit: would help if I actually posted the pic. hehe

I took all my toys out last night and transformed them to robot mode, then it got too late to start posing. So in the meantime, here are some older pics I took that were all about this:

Awesome shots everyone!

Definitely like the movie proper scaled item photos, it was all over the map in the toys but pretty set in stone in the actual films.

I thought Lockdown's toy was apparently small (even for a Deluxe) which is what put me off buying it. How is that one voyager sized? :O

Every review I've seen of those AoE OS KOs have had nothing but good things to say, especially the Hound one. I'm pretty sure that Lockdown comes with regular face AND gun face!
