The manipulation was minimal, involved some background fixing..and well the comment box as well. Needless to say, this was something that, in the end, had to be done.

There is a question, that some Starscream fans have wondered. Why did he never take the opportunity to destroy Megatron when he was in gun mode? Why did he use the gun and let him go? Did he kick himself? Perhaps...

Perhaps something like this...



"Starscream, you fool..." The Decepticon leader said as he yanked a startled Starscream to his feet.

"Megatron, really it's not my fault. The..."

"Because of your stupidity the Autobots are breaking through," Megatron snapped.

"Megatron...let me exp..."

"I have to stop them myself..." Megatron said cutting Starscream off again. "Get ready to receive..."

"As you so order..." the Seeker replied darkly.

Starscream stood scowling at Megatron as his leader transformed. Megatron fell neatly into his hands and Starscream began to fire upon the approaching Autobots and, suddenly, something inside him became terribly unglued.

He stared at Megatron for a moment. A series of emotions crossed his face and finally he smirked. A dark and very dangerous smirk. Without a word or warning, Starscream grabbed the Megatron gun in both hands and smashed it across his knee.

In the not so distant background Skywarp grinned as Thundercracker handed over a stack of credits.

No why didn't 'screamer do this earlier?

hmm... now that i think about it... XDD

When I read that, I pictured Megatron shattering into a thousand pieces. He would have destroyed Megatron in his most vunerable state.

I kinda wonder though considering how much power Megatron supposedly put out in gun mode if doing that would cause him to explode, and possibly kill Starscream in the process. You gotta figure Megatron would have some kind of fail safe installed.

I was thinking there were probably several reasons why screamer didn't.

my thoughts on this, and its something that will be in my fan fic, is what the souce of megatrons power was supposed to be. a direct link to a dark hole pumping out endless animatter or something to that effect. honselty, would you rely wanna open up something like that in your hands? it would be insta death, probably for whatever planet you on.

well actualy he could link it to a black hole interdiminsionaly(is that how you spell that)and it left him extreamly weak,his gun was fuisuon powerd.
Its about time screamer .

Wouldn't have fit his personality. When Megatron was in gun mode, Starscream was, for a tiny moment, not only in (vicarious) charge of the Decepticons, but wielding the most powerful weapon on the entire battlefield. It was probably an intense ego-rush. There'd be no way he could deliberately not only throw that away, but throw away every chance at feeling that rush in future.

I think Starscream should have figured a way to fix Megatron permanently into his alt mode rather than smash him into a million pieces. Makes sense to keep a powerful weapon.

You mean like rebuilding the Transfixatron and zapping Megs?

Megatron displaces his mass when he transforms.... And it does say his cannon receives its energy from a black hole... Action Master anyone?
