Shockwave's Tower ~ Arena
It was all too amusing for Havok as he stared back into the grinning face of Hun-Grrr. The 'Threat' of him telling Megatron about Havok's opinion made it difficult to keep a straight face, as it seemed unlikely to the Corrupticon that the supreme ruler of the Decepticon army would really be bothered about the opinion of one of his subbordinates regarding the fighting abilities of one of the members of his gladiator team from before the war. Very unlikely.
If that wasn't enough, Onslaught inserting himself into the situation in some kind of vain attempt to disarm the situation also provided much comic relief to Havok, A) becuase it was ultimately futile, and B) because he fell into the common misconception that he was the smartest of the Corrupticons. While Havok was no idiot, Bane was by far and away, the most intelligent of the Corrupticons. The misconception arose from the Black Death's abrasive and borderline psychopathic nature, that lead others to believe him to be little more than a violent and dangerous tool of war. This suited Bane down to the ground, as it meant he could use it to his advantage and end a fight before his opponent generally knew what was going on.
Havok was often seen as the brains behind the Corrupticons, mainly because of the much calmer and more balanced way in which he went about his business, logic played a big part in his decision making, and the situation with Hun-Grrr was no different. At the beginning of the altercation, Havok saw 2 options, the first being to ignore the insults, harsh words and general berating being sent his way, and meakly distance himself from Hun-Grrr, displaying a general impression of weakness to all those present.
Or, he could take the 2nd option, the one he did in fact choose, which was to not take the Terrorcon Commander's drawl lieing down, to in fact give as good as he recieved. On the face of it, a very risky, almost suicidal choice, to insult an often pissed off, very large, twin headed dragon, but Havok always was one who would prefer to be seen as a bit crazy rather than as a coward, there were no places within the Decepticon ranks for cowards... Starscream being the only exception to that rule, whereas there would always be a place for those willing to take on big odds.
The Dark Grey Corrupticon's logic was further evident by the fact that he chose to insult Hun-Grrr, safe in the knowledge that it was unlkikely he would suffer any physical repercussions, on account of Thrall's presence. The Terrorcon Commander was without doubt a formidable foe, but not even he could take on both Havok and Thrall and emerge victorious, had it been just Havok by himself, perhaps he would not have been so free with his words, as he knew that one on one, he didn't have enough to take Hun-Grrr down. It would be a fantastic fight, extremely close, but the simple matter of the Terrorcon Commander's design being more durable and more powerful than Havok would ultimately result in his victory.
"Oh come now Hun-Grrr.." Havok began in reply, after a long pause, in which he weighed up his options, knowing full well what his new 'friend' wanted "..Surely you aren't proposing that you waste your time with a wannabe such as myself, there must be some more worthy adversary out there just waiting to be munched up by you.." The Corrupticon continued, as sincerely as anyone could "..Besides, I'm no expert, but surely 'Bots must be more satsifying to you than 'Cons, no?"
