Don't mind me making this thread but...
Well, that went lovely.

So.... now what? I know we'll just have to continue off from where we left off and such.

Hoorah at least we have one thread to work with... now then the query is are we ready to go for a reconstruction of our TF world or leave it in ashes and rebuild once more... I vote for the first option, I want to get started blowing stuff up sooner rather than later.

Yeah, let's just jumpstart the storylines and action, moral is not going to be too good after a board wipe like this.

I'm all for a straight jump back into things. By the way, does anyone happen to have a hard copy of the Ingame Book of Facts? I'm not sure I have one lying around on CD and I really don't wanna have to retype the thing again like I had to the last time the board went kablooey.

Oh dear, everything went splat.
I guess we can pick up where we left off, which as I'm sure everyone remembers is with the Throttlebots ruling Cybertron and with the Autobots and Decepticons united in being slaves for them.

This is the second time the RPG world got wiped off the face of the forum. The first time wasn't too bad but still was a pain in the butt. I would think most people would remember what their characters were doing before this. The fight with Polyhex and Nova Cronum was finally getting to go at least the airborne part. I'm still wanting to see the classic fight of Aerialbots and Seekers to see which group is the better poster. I'm just curious if Ryan is still trying to fix the old forum and bring those back. Sometimes upgrades aren't worth it and anyone who deals with Windows knows that all too well.

All the old forum data is gone and irrecoverable. No Story Archive, no Character Profiles, no nothing. I hope everyone saved their character profiles on their own computers...
I'm working with the Site Staff on figuring how stable the board is before I put everything back together. No sense in rebuilding all the forums if the board's going to bug out two days from now. Hopefully I should have some clarity on that by tonight, and we can throw some threads up to restart the stories that we had going.
Keep hope alive!

Don't be too down, everybody. Remember, in disaster there is opportunity!
...
Luckily I kept my profiles on back up this time. Wish I'd gotten round to saving the size chart, though.

Man, I remember the LAST time something like this happened. We got our threads back that time, though... *groans*
I'm definitely all for picking up where we left off. I think I can repost many of the ones I have (Trailbreaker, especially), if only to help get things back to normal. I just wish I'd thought of saving my last posts... *sigh* Ah well. I've still got my character profiles saved and on hand, so that's a start at least.
Oh yeah, someone was asking for the size chart...?

I know I saved mine.
I think we should all be okay as long as we remember where we were and what we were doing.
Still was should post a new roll call thread so everyone knows where evryone else is.

BOOM.
No s*** this is pretty bad... and I lost my profile because of a harddrive wipe etc. What to do, what to do...? Ryan could at least have made a backup of this rpg before doing something like this
Urrh, can I perhaps use this disaster to transfer my fanmade to an area with more action instead of Iacon? That is if I don't have to remake him first...

He would've if he had known something like this was coming. This thing just came out of left field and surprised us all

I have been sooo busy with college i havent had a chance to get into the new rpg, this is gonna be great for me if i can just seemlessly slip into the revamp version-i had intended to play as broadside and although i was okayed to use him i never got a single post in-maybe now is my chance? Any autobot commanders want a big beefy triplechanger?

It just so happens that I saved not only my characters but also all of the fanmade characters. who wants 'em?

One thing I always thought forum RPG's like this needed was an 'upgrade' option.
Basically, if the player does something outstanding in character (such as playing fair beyond the call of duty, making the entire board snarf their sodas with laughter or whatever would be appropriate), they could award him a "Point", to upgrade one stat at their approval...
Perhaps that could be incorporated into the reboot?

I still have Skywatch on my PC, so he is ready to go as is.

Alas, I didn't save my Blacksting profile, and I was gearing up to start posting with him before this too. If nobody else happens to have his profile, then I'll make do and come up with something new, once things are back in order.

Okay, folks, it looks like the boat hasn't finished rocking. Until the place gets back up and running, I'd like to ask for your cooperation.
1. Anyone who has the approved canon profiles on their hard drives, please send it over to my email address -
herrmajor@citromail.hu - in the following format:
Username: the name you used here in the Seibertron RPG
Approved canon characters: the list of characters you had under your control before the crash (and their last known location, if you remember)
Character 1 - Location 1Character 2 - Location 2etc.
Finally, please attach the canon profiles you have in an rtf, or doc format to the email.
2. Until we re-estabilish the game, you can post your ideas, comments and suggestions into another Brainstorm thread that'll be opened shortly. We'll see to requests and see what is to be implemented.
Thank you in advance.

You saved all the fanmades?!?! You are a veritable God

And I'm an unworthy nub, would it be possible to hook me up with my 3, Jedishen, Archangel and Orpheus, my PC went boom halfway through December and all my profiles went with it. If you have those 3, I shall be eternally grateful, well, grateful at least
My 3 Canons should be easily redone, Silverbolt and Inferno were basically copied from the VSD with a few small changes, and Roadbuster wasn't that hard either, once I've re-written those, I'll get it all together and e-mail it to you Gat

I'm not blaming Ryan or anything. It just seems common sense to me that you at least backup the stuff if your going to tinker with the forum.

You did?

thumbs up for you.

Spoon, thing is, he DIDN'T tinker with the forum-- all he did was flip the switch for the profiles on. This whole thing was on a fatal error of sorts on its own that wasn't caused by messing with the forum code.

Blackstreak.. MY HERO! YOU SAVED THRALL!!!
If you could toss him my way i'd be most grateful. Alas, the rest of my canons are gone.. my computer died not long before the boards did, together with my backups, so i have to do them all over again
But don't anyone try taking Hardhead away from me.. or else

*Evils* :p
