im just thinking about starting a repaint but im a bit apprehensive because ideas that sound good in my head arent always so in real life

my idea is to paint a cybertron deluxe red alert / cannon ball / movieverse crankcase into the old leader of the wreckers, Impactor ( although most comics show him pink i was thinking of more of a dark purple)

so does anyone else think this would be a good idea or who on ebay (im in the uk and dont know of any good model shops in my area) sells good brushes, paint, masking tape or any other equipment i may need

i know botcon kup uses a retooled version of red alert's mould but that things expensive
